Job Description

The Events & Marketing Platforms team is expanding to support increased demand for its bespoke conference management applications. Reporting into the Head of Platform Support and Operations, the new Platform Delivery Specialist will support internal stakeholders as they setup, configure and manage event content.

The Platform Delivery Specialist will:

  • Train internal stakeholders on using our web-based conference management tools, creating supporting documentation and troubleshooting as necessary.
  • Help user groups identify creative ways to deliver complex event designs using the available functionality.
  • Break complex problem statements down into actionable engineering requirements and nurture those requirements through the development lifecycle.
  • Proactively identify and review opportunities for application improvement with product and engineering teams.

This role will give candidates the opportunity to work with colleagues from around the globe and in a variety of industries. 

Qualifications

The successful candidate will be:

  • Highly organized with excellent ability to balance multiple projects
  • Delivery and outcomes oriented, ensure delivery to deadlines
  • Acts as the liaison between development team and internal stakeholders
  • Establishes and enforces best practices and data standardization
  • High-energy, robust, and resilient, able to perform well under pressure
  • Effective and demonstrable interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Strong verbal and written English language communication skills with the ability to articulate thoughts and ideas clearly, and summarize and report information
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to simplify and clearly communicate complex requirements
  • Ability to work as part of matrixed and virtual team that include internal stakeholders, business and technology subject matter experts
  • Ability to develop a sense of teamwork and maintaining relationships with all internal stakeholders
  • Being detail-oriented and capable of delivering a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize a large volume of work effectively
  • Ability to think ahead and anticipate problems, issues, and solutions

What we're looking for:

  • Experience with training end users in web-based software
  • Demonstrable experience as a business analyst, project or product manager within platform delivery teams a nice-to-have
  • Experience with working across time zones and in virtual teams, with the flexibility to adjust working hours when necessary.
  • Familiarity with JIRA and common project management tools
