Senior Delivery Manager

EBG is looking for a dynamic team member to help build our performance driven Delivery Management capabilities. Our company is growing quickly and need a “hands on” person with diverse experience in Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, and Project/Program Management to help us successfully lead and delivery our strategic initiatives.  This person will be working extensively with internal business leaders including project stakeholders, architecture, development, and quality assurance teams to help scope and plan projects, ensure requirements have been documented, and coordinate delivery of innovative solutions supporting EBGs websites and other business systems.  An ideal candidate will easily be able to work in a variety of software development approach methodologies and be able to understand and provide hands on leadership working side by side with our product managers from scoping/story creation and requirements through development, delivery, and final business acceptance of our projects.

The Senior Delivery Manager position exists within EBG’s Product Management Organization and works very closely with our Information Systems and other technical teams to develop, integrate, and maintain all of EBG’s entertainment and travel product websites and internal corporate applications.   The candidate should have work experience with both traditional waterfall and agile/iterative software development lifecycle methodologies and operate comfortably in both including leading projects that may have multiple delivery teams on the same project leveraging different delivery methodologies.  Candidate must have strong communication and organizational skills to quickly understand project scope, identify critical activities, and coordinate efforts among multiple stakeholders.  The Sr. Delivery Manager will also be able to help lead and manage project activities for multiple simultaneous projects of varying duration and complexity.   The candidate should take pride in their work, exhibit a desire to grow with the company, and fit well within a very collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordination and communication across multiple project stakeholders including setting realistic project delivery expectations including timing and schedules
• Work closely with business and technical teams leading project activities and managing project risks and issues
• Lead project phasing and backlog prioritization discussions helping ensure projects meet critical requirements and drive benefits jointly focused on quality and speed to market.
• Lead and challenge development teams during project/task estimation
• Manage project scoping to avoid unexpected/unplanned scope creep
• Identify and coordinate non-technology based project activities (ie. marketing activities, content creation, training, vendor certification, product configuration activities, etc.)
• Track, manage, and provide updates on project status and progress to schedule for stakeholders at all levels
• Work closely with third party development teams in delivery of solutions involving technical integration (APIs) between EBG and our partners.
• Work with the developers to provide leadership in technical design and architecture
• Lead project estimates and understand development workload and priorities for accurate project and schedule communication with stakeholders
• Assess and convey dependencies and cross project/program impacts in an environment when priorities change quickly and can impact different initiatives within the project portfolio
• Quickly identify and understand project issues and options for resolution including appropriate escalation and stakeholder communications

• 10+ years of relevant business experience
• Project/Program Management Experience
• Experience with web applications or inventory management and point of sale web applications
• Software development lifecycle experience assisting in deadline based delivery of software solutions
• Self-motivated and organized
• Very strong communication skills
• Ability to work both individually and with a team
• Ability to quickly review and understand project scope and requirements to assess complexity and critical activities required in a project
• Ability to create, review, and understand detailed system analysis and documented business requirements and user stories
• Ability to facilitate and lead solution design discussions involving both technical and business stakeholders
• Familiarity with development, implementation, and testing of web applications
• Ability to facilitate and lead decisions related to the priority of activities within a project and across dependent projects
• An understanding of the importance of User Experiences & User Interfaces
• Experience in testing software applications and User Interfaces
• 5+ years Business Analysis or Systems Analysis experience
• Experience in the demands of deadline-driven work
• Working experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook

• Management of Travel and Entertainment Business Experience with Mobile Applications
• Solution Delivery involving external APIs
• Experience with E-Commerce systems and PCI-DSS
• Experience with AGILE software development methodology
