Job Summary:

This Senior Software Engineer will serve as a key techno functional resource for Citizen’s Oracle Fusion Cloud (SaaS) for HCM, Procurement, VMO, Finance, and Budget business units. This individual will also be responsible for customizations, enhancements, implementation of new modules, and redesigns to enable efficient business process and resolve issues.

Additionally, this resource will support all business units and will be a part of an IT team supporting business needs which include:

• Support business units on Citizens specific customizations and changes to cloud application
• Creating and maintaining Security roles and configurations
• Researching and opting into new features with each patches/releases
• Promoting changes to production as recommended by Oracle and support vendors
• Facilitate Governance process between different business units for larger system changes
• Create and facilitate Service requests for Oracle professional and managed service vendors for issues those are not resolved by normal production support processes.
• Work on critical production support issues.

Job Duties / Essential Functions:

Models ethical behavior and executes job responsibilities in accordance with Citizens core values, ethics, and information protection policies.

• Design, develop and/or test complex software component changes in one or more engineering stack (UI, Servicing, Integrations, Automation, Testing etc.) meet acceptance criteria while adhering to development and quality standards.
• Research, analyze, design and solve complex problems with creativity and innovation
• Own and present SDLC and DevSecOps deliverables to maintain software standards and guidelines
• Collaborate with business representatives to estimate and plan prioritized backlog items as a SME
• Contributes to improving software engineering practices, standards, documentation, and knowledge within agile team

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree (concentration in Software Development or Programming or Testing or Automation) AND 5 years relevant experience, OR a combination of college education and relevant experience equivalent to 8 years
• At least 5 years* of software engineering experience OR 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of a college degree
• *Master's Degree or PhD in a relevant field may substitute for 1 year of experience

Technical Skills:

• Cloud HCM, Procurement, VMO and/or Finance knowledge (2 required, all 4 preferred)
• Understanding of role based security and basic segregation of duty concepts
• Proper understanding of PII data
• Proficient in Java, or any other programming language with experience in expression language like JSTL.
• Experienced in Oracle release/patching process and cycle for cloud environments
• Able to properly lead conferences and act as liaison between business units and Oracle support teams
• Proficient in understanding Oracle provided data models for reporting and able to create reports, dashboards, and extracts efficiently using subject areas and custom SQL.
• Understanding of change management concepts and able to take ownership of critical changes to production environment
• Knowledge of REST and SOAP web services and other integration technologies.
• Experience in working with external vendors and contractors to support inbound and outbound integrations.
