Data is the core of our product and the lifeblood for all of our decision making. Business Intelligence Developers sit at the helm of R2 by building the analytical layer so that we can effectively provide capital to thousands of companies across Latin America.

What you’ll work on

• Provide clean, transformed data ready for analysis using modern data orchestration tools
• Apply software engineering best practices to analytics code (eg, version control, testing, continuous integration)
• Implement data models in the data warehouse that standardize and denormalize data from multiple sources.
• Maintain data documentation and definitions along data engineers and data scientists
• Train business users on how to use data visualization tools
• Work with Credit, Finance, Ops and Growth leaders to understand data requirements and transform those into reusable data models
• Build mission-critical dashboards for management teams and investors

Who you are

• You have at least 2 years of experience with data engineering and/or technical business intelligence / analytical work
• You love SQL and have experience with ELT patterns that leverage complex SQL transformations within a data warehouse
• You have strong software engineering skills, and are very comfortable in Python
• You are excited to build and deploy dashboards into production using Python-based frameworks, such as Streamlit or Plotly
• You have built dashboards in tools such as Tableau or Looker
• You are comfortable working with data orchestration systems (such as Airflow, dbt or equivalents)
• You have collaborated closely with business unit leaders as your core “customers”, and probe deeper to their asks to understand the real “why” of what they are looking for
• You want to make your work self-service so that you are not aimlessly answering endless query requests
