Job Description

  • Job Summary -  Demand Generation Product Owner
  • Location: Hartford, CT / Des Moines, IA / Batesville, IN – Remote
  • Duration: 6+ Months

The Demand Generation Product Owner will join the Individual Markets go-to-market team for a period of time to lead the matrixed demand generation agile team in orchestrating the continuous planning and prioritization of demand generation across email/advertising/digital channels to maximize target audience engagement. The ideal candidate is an experienced product owner with a background in demand/lead generation and direct response marketing. Experience in financial services is a plus.

Location options: Remote / Hartford, CT / Des Moines, IA / Batesville, IN

Hartford, CT / Des Moines, IA / Batesville, IN / 100% remote (all options) - if they choose to go into an office they must be fully vaccinated (this is defined as 2 weeks past last vaccine dose.)   If 100% remote, they need to use their own equipment to log into the GA Virtual desktop environment. Windows 10 is a must have.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate collaborative ideation of new ideas (content angles, audience touchpoints, segment opportunities, etc) that could increase engagement of target financial professional audiences.
  • Continuously groom and prioritize backlog and ensure resources across the demand generation team are working on highest priority bodies of work.
  • Foster a proactive “How might we?” approach to problem-solving, encouraging the team to voice their concerns/challenges with the agile team and working together to identify the best path forward.
  • Partner with Demand Generation Manager, Scrum Master, and Marketing leaders to implement ways of working within the agile team that accelerate velocity, improve quality, and increase volume of production.
  • Partner and proactively communicate with marketing resources both within and outside the agile team (e.g. Design, Copywriting, Campaign Operations, Digital Solutions), as well as cross-functional partners (e.g. Sales, Distribution), to clearly define bodies of work, socialize progress, and manage dependencies.
  • Prepare for and facilitate efficient and productive agile meetings in partnership with the Scrum Master.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Overall 8 years experience or more.
  • 3+ years experience in demand generation with knowledge of audience segmentation, lead scoring, marketing automation, and direct response marketing across various channels.
  • 2+ years experience as a product owner, leading the planning, prioritization, and delivery of work across a matrixed team.
  • Ability to think strategically but with a “roll up the sleeves” attitude and a readiness to execute.
  • Strong sense of urgency with a bias for action.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented with strong project management skills.
  • Excellent partnership skills with ability to navigate the organization and build relationships.
  • Experience in B2B financial services a plus
