Job Description

About the Position

Cannonball is seeking a Marketing Coordinator dedicated to growing his/her skills while also making a splash here, on our team. You will also gain hands-on experience by contributing to event preparation, execution, and wrap-up. We are seeking a passionate and hardworking person with a positive attitude who is social, excited to learn, and ready to give it 110%! The marketing team manages our brand, promotion and ticket sales for these events and more.

Our work focuses on digital platforms, so you will particularly be charged with:

  • Social - editorial calendar management, content creation and curation, influencer outreach and engagement, publishing, event, real-time engagement, community management

    • Social media includes: TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and more

  • Email - managing ongoing campaigns and audience management

  • Website - Squarespace content updates, conversion optimization, oversee commerce/donations, rebuild and redesign oversight, rebranding oversight

  • Media Partnerships - Planning and managing paid and trade-based media partnerships across social, search, remarketing, display, programmatic and other emerging media platforms

  • Track the success of all digital marketing campaigns using tracking codes and analytics 

  • Ticket management through platforms such as Eventbrite, Ticket Tailor, Universe, etc.

    • Create new event pages, manage discount codes, send tickets, general maintenance

  • Organize and source photo/video assets

  • Design through Adobe Suite or Canva

  • Brainstorm and develop event branding and inclusions

  • Collaborate with production and partnership teams

  • Assist in day-of event execution on weekdays and weekends, if interested

  • Report directly to the Marketing + Strategy Manager

Qualifications

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration or related area

  • 2 years of related experience in a start-up and/or agency environment

  • Professional maturity is a must as is the ability to persuade and motivate target audiences through written materials, social media and presentations

  • Experience in advertising, community relations, digital marketing, social media, digital media planning and buying, and a proven ability to successfully manage communications projects

  • Experience with digital collaboration tools like G Suite and Asana

  • Experience with creative platforms such as Adobe Suite and Canva

  • Experience with Squarespace, Mailchimp, Later, ticketing platforms

  • Experience with paid media platforms, search and social ad publishing

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Friendly and engaging style and demeanor, with strong motivation and professionalism

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Detail-oriented, multi-tasker who manage challenges effectively
