Job Description

We are seeking an ETL Report Automation Developer for a contract-to-hire role.  This role is based in the northwestern area of the United States and can be remote/telecommuting, however, there may be some travel 2-3 times per year (in short durations) to Washington State or Oregon.   

In this role, you will be responsible for the development, and delivery of automating Federal, State, and Local Regulatory reporting and working in conjunction with the organizations Legal and Regulatory team members.  You will be detailing process requirements, defining/implementing new processes, identifying data sources, verifying data feeds with SME’s, and working to automate reports.    Additional responsibilities of this role are as follows: 

 

  • Build and document detailed technical business requirements for Federal, State and Local Regulatory reporting requirements 
  • Spearhead developing repeatable reporting processes, automations, and continual improvements in streamlining the overall reporting processes   
  • Meet with the various stakeholders to identify business processes, data sources, and maintaining ongoing repeatable reporting, data integrity, and reporting filings. 
  • Work closely with IT leaders to coordinate and maintain an aggressive, yet highly successful and productive release schedule of deployments 
  • Create and work through new reporting requirements as specified by legal, and compliancy organizations. 
  • Lead and work with Business Analysts, Business Intelligence (BI), developers, and possible Project Managers for release schedules and coordination of report filings  
  • Perform other duties as required to support the business and evolving organization 
  • Assist project manager(s) and IT leaders with managing, scoping and planning releases with business units and key stake holders. 
  • Develops and presents reporting processes as required for business operations. 
  • Collaborate with Metadata Manager and perform tests and provide update to all ETL activities within schedule and provide support to all large data volumes and assist in data processing. 
  • Document all technical and system specifications for all ETL processes and perform unit tests on all processes and prepare required programs and scripts. 
  • Analyze and interpret all complex data on all target systems and analyze and provide resolutions to all data issues and coordinate with data analyst to validate all requirements, perform interviews with all users and developers. 
  • Perform tests and validate all data flows and prepare all ETL processes according to business requirements and incorporate all business requirements into all design specifications 
  • Perform root cause analysis on all processes and resolve all production issues and validate all data and perform routine tests on databases and provide support to all ETL applications. 
  • Collaborate with all developers and business users to gather required data and execute all ETL programs and scripts on systems and implement all data warehouse activities and prepare reports for same. 
  • Document all test procedures for systems and processes and coordinate with business analysts and users to resolve all requirement issues and maintain quality for same. 
  • Monitor all business requirements and validate all designs and schedule all ETL processes and prepare documents for all data flow diagrams. 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Management or related field required.  
  • 5+ years of experience in ETL development and reporting automation. 
  • Experience with business operations reporting for regulatory telecommunications requirements at the federal, state and local levels. 
  • Familiarity sourcing through multiple data sources, combining data sources, and creating usable reporting processes. 
  • Familiarity with data stores, data warehouses, and data extraction using various technologies 
  • Familiarity with 3rd party solutions, Informatica, SpotFire (TIBCO), Teradata, Oracle, MySQL 
  • Familiarity with hypervisor platforms, AWS, and Azure are added benefits.  
  • Some familiarity with regulatory reporting of voice services at state/federal level, data services experience too
