Genomics England successfully led the world-leading 100,000 Genomes Project, which compared and analysed individuals’ genetic codes to help diagnose, treat and prevent illness. We're now accelerating our impact, working with the NHS to further develop and embed genomic healthcare and research in Britain. Our next chapter involves working with patients, doctors, scientists, government and industry to improve genomic testing, and help researchers access the health data and technology they need to make new medical discoveries and create more effective, targeted medicines for everybody.
As part of the GEL People team, the role is accountable to the Chief People Officer to deliver ther people agenda that is aligned to the GEL Virtues, principle and practices, overall people and culture strategy and for leading the people and culture agenda for the organisation.
The post holder is responsible for building professional partnerships with the business and central HR functions to deliver a wide and diverse range of HR activities, to enhance the employee lifecycle experience.
The role requires significant input into the design of strategic objectives and to contribute to the HR and OD strategies and practices to continually increase Genomics England’s organisational capability to deliver our mission. The post holder must embody the values of the organisation, acting as an ambassador who can engage, attract and retain the very best people.
