Job Description

The role is a proactive and meaningful role in collaborating on operational strategies for media and event sales processes. This person leads our knowledge and use of the CRM platform from watching the lead cycle to contract preparation and assures systems execution of consistent processes to remain current with the needs of the business. This role also manages a robust renewal process for our large trade shows. The right candidate is suited for heavy customer service elements, both working with internal stakeholders and customers.

Routine Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates with Director of Sales to assure proper sales contract construction and appropriate use of pipeline tools.
  • Exercises some administration privileges in Salesforce (reassignment of accounts, merging records, approving sales contracts, etc.)
  • Assures accurate systems reporting of revenue by brand, product and by Account Manager
  • Uses CRM to produce effective sales analysis and sales enablement tools, and shares with Director of Sales and Marketing Manager
  • Holds weekly one-to-one meetings with SVP, SupplySide to communicate progress and identify ongoing needs. Attends and actively participates in weekly sales meetings.
  • Works with other departments (Accounting, Marketing, Marketing Services, etc.) on any sales-related needs and requests.
  • Service in the Informa Markets North America engage & exchange group for Sales Operations.
  • Perform any other duties commensurate with the grade and level of responsibility.

Major Projects:

  • Leads exhibitor rebook projects, to include pulling customer points, arranging the priority placement customer schedule, confirming contract and CRM readiness for future events, works with marketing around all exhibitor communication about the renewal process and manages the operation of the on-site sales office including workforce training.
  • Managing any new programs or software system integrations. Understand training needs, communicate with development team before, during and after implementation on behalf of sales team, provide all required set-up information and resources.

 Management:

  • Supervisory responsibility for the Sales Operations Coordinator
  • Accountability for cross-training/understudy between Sales Operations Manager & Sales Operations Coordinator
  • Hiring and supervisory responsibility for temporary personnel, when applicable

Qualifications

Essential

  • Strong attention to detail and proactive behavior and attitude
  • Happy disposition, with ability to communicate honestly and with respect. Ability to select the appropriate form of communication.
  • Seek to understand mentality with a competitive spirit.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Working experience in Salesforce
  • Working experience in A2Z preferred
  • Applicable customer service experience; minimum 5 years
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Speaks and writes clearly and fluently in English to both individuals and groups
  • Be self-directed; identify and manage multiple priorities.
  • Able to travel for multi-day, overnight stays several times per year.

Desirable

  • Understanding of B2B media and/or tradeshow sales
  • Experience working with sales professionals
