Commercial Solutions Manager's role is to shape the development and enhancement of products concepts and services to meet changing market and client needs.
The Commercial Solutions Manager is a highly visible role that will span across the full spectrum of strategic and operational activities related to managing and growing a portfolio of services in a rapidly evolving market.
The working experience is of an exciting scale-up challenge within the more mature structure of an established business. The role will have to work with a virtual team composed of Product Managers, Sales Managers, Engineering & Client Support teams and Data Scientists.
The role will be expected to continue the strong momentum already created in sales and service innovation and taking it to the next level by looking to scale current and new innovative capabilities and to further optimize of our end-to-end client engagement model.
PRODUCT STRATEGY/DEVELOPMENT
· Define proposals for new product concepts or refinements, investigating concept feasibility and constructing business case in consultation with Sales, Analytics, Technical and other relevant teams
· Analyse competitor information, market developments, cost / benefit of product development (or refinement) and partnership needs in order to satisfy current and potential market/client need
· Maximise exploitation of business opportunities through the use of emerging technologies
e2e GTM PROGRAM MANAGEMENT
· End to end go to market program management of portfolio of product and solutions for the Italian market and South Easter cluster where applicable
· Influence and Negotiate product specification, project plan and deliverables in consultation with Sales Teams and based on market specificities
· Build effective internal relationships, project managing the delivery of products, collaborating with effective interdivisional communication and co-operation to ensure effective delivery of new products (or enhancements) relevant for the market
· Ensure the production and provision of solution support materials and services to enhance sale ability
PORFOLIO LIFECYCLE MANAGEMENT
· Ensure compliance with appropriate legislation such as data protection areas and internal security & privacy requirements
· Ensure compliance with the relevant objectives within the business case through regular review process
· Review product performance, post implementation, and make effective recommendations upon identification of poor performance
· Manage the products and solutions thru their lifecycle from concept to sunsetting
BUSINESS PLANNING AND INDUSTRY ACUMEN
· Formulate comprehensive and integrated business cases and robust product life plans
· Present business cases to Product Development Committee
Establish and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of industry and technical developments in software solutions, data development and products to identify limitations and opportunities for new developments/services
CROSS DIVISIONAL CO-OPERATION / CORPORATE INTEGRATION
· Support the proactive management of clients multiple relationships with Experian Group and explore opportunities for cross selling and product development
· Promote team working and cross fertilisation of ideas
· Identify opportunities for the adoption of new Experian products/solutions to the market
PROOF OF CONCEPTS AND SALES SUPPORT
· Develop executable proofs-of-concept internally and with clients
· Support sales team in the demonstration of the value addition, the payback to clients and providing product consulting.
· Support the generation bespoke developments for high value clients, acting as an expert
Background and Approach required:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years’ experience in fields related to our business: data/ information services, lending, fintech, analytics services, software as a service, digital marketing
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to research and distil information from diverse sources inside
• Strong communication and influencing skills – able to distil complex topics into clear arguments to gain understanding
• Self-motivated, quick learner, able to work under pressure and manage different stakeholders
• Ability to work with clients, partners, suppliers – internal and external to the organization
• Fluent English and Italian speaking and writing
• Availability to travel
• Appreciated also experience with programming languages such as Python, SQL, R, WPS, SAS and with visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI
