Job Description

The primary objective of the Financial Analyst role is to provide the UK and EMEA regions with support across management and general accounting, financial analysis, reporting, forecasting and the conversion of data into management information. 

The main responsibilities of the role include producing financial forecasts, regular and ad hoc management reports and a varied range of financial data analysis.

The role requires direct engagement with finance and business stakeholders to develop reporting and insights that inform management decision making.

Responsibilities: 

  • Production of pre-defined (monthly, quarterly and annual) and ad hoc management information reports, ensuring work is completed in an accurate and timely manner
  • Scrutiny and alignment of data from a variety of sources to ensure consistency and accuracy of reporting
  • Assembling, analysing and reporting financial information in response to requests from the wider finance function and the business
  • Providing the business with accurate views of its financial performance, with insight and commentary as necessary
  • Ensuring financial data is complete, accurate and all transactions are consistent with Experian’s accounting policies and IFRS
  • Ensuring correct allocation of costs
  • Owning selected balance sheet accounts and provide reconciliations/analysis to them
  • Provide review and analysis of headcount
  • Provide regular reports to stakeholders and clearly articulate the drivers for variances to budget and forecast
  • Produce accurate monthly cost forecasts and annual budget
  • Work closely with onshore Finance Business Partners and Business Leaders to understand cost drivers and help implement optimisation and efficiencies
  • Work proactively to identify and drive opportunities for process improvements

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Prior planning, analysis and reporting experience in a multi-national business environment
  • University degree in Finance, Accounting or other relevant business field
  • At least 3 years of experience with general financial accounting/financial analysis in a multi-national business environment in accordance with IFRS
  • Good understanding of financial management information
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to be proactive and work independently, with the skill to adapt and drive change where necessary
  • Technical accounting skills and proficiency with Excel
  • Knowledge of systems such as Oracle, Hyperion and OBIEE will be considered as advantage
  • Fluency verbal and written English
