Job Description

We’re on a lookout for a creative and passionate teammate to join HCM Deck’s marketing team as an Event Manager

As an Event Manager, you’ll plan, organise and run a range of HR events, both virtual and traditional. You will ensure the attendees are engaged, global speakers are involved and the message/ tone are consistent and fit the brand. You'll own and manage the whole event process, from the planning stage through coordinating, to carrying out the evaluation. The role is very autonomous but also involves working as part of a team.

Check out what scope you will be taking care of at HCM Deck:

  • Planning, managing (end-to-end) and hosting HCM Deck events – currently, in an online format (online conferences) but when the time comes, also traditional events,
  • Developing an effective event strategy, 
  • Defining main event goals, tracking KPIs, producing reports and post-event evaluation,
  • Managing and optimizing the allocated event budget,
  • Arranging the company's participation in other external HR events, 
  • Building relationships with the media, partners and clients, 
  • Creating buzz and PR around our events, proposing original ideas for event promo campaigns,
  • Analyzing reports and following trends related to the HR world to have a general understanding of the HR challenges and our persona.

Qualifications

What are we looking for?

Your profile:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience (marketing, PR or global experience a plus)
  • Fluent English (C1/C2), able to host a conference in English and Polish

Essential skills/capabilities:

  • Great communication and presentation skills
  • Project and time management skills
  • Negotiation skills when looking for the best price from venues, suppliers and contractors
  • Tech-savvy, able to learn new tech and workflows quickly (we work on such marketing/event tools as BigMarker, Active Campaign, Zapier, Zoom).
  • Calm under pressure and quick to find a solution when needed
  • Creative and proactive – able to bring new ideas and take them for a spin
  • Charismatic and enthusiastic – ready to make a buzz around our events
  • Self-motivated and in love with self-development – happy to learn, adapt, and initiate quickly
  • Goal-driven mindset

Nice to have:

  • Marketing/sales skills to acquire interest of guest speakers, promote the event and attract the right audience
  • interest in new event tech and production
  • interest in media editing

About HCM Deck events:

Events play a vital role in the marketing efforts and a huge part in the success of the HCM Deck’s brand recognition. Prior to the pandemic, HCM Deck hosted mainly traditional events. We have developed such formats as L&D Meetups, Best Practices Day, or Leadership Breakfast, HR Workshops. In 2020, we have made a switch to an online model while preserving the unique atmosphere of Deck’s real-life interaction. Currently, we're still hosting online and hybrid events even though some plans of returning to a traditional format are back in our conversations.
