The Head of In-Play is an experienced leader, with expert domain knowledge, in both trading, product, and 3rd party feeds.  

The primary focus of the role is to build and manage a team that can assist the Trading Director to deliver scaling through automation. By leveraging our unparalleled trading expertise, you will provide solutions that utilizes our single pricing engine to deliver seamless prices, and UX, across all our products.

A key part of the role will be leading the design and implementation of our evolving in-play suite of products, and as such, you will have in-depth experience of working with feeds, data providers and in-play solutions themselves.

Role and responsibilities

·         Manage the day-to-day operations of our In-Play team (IPT), which contains the industries most talented traders, developers and modellers.  

·         Work closely with the LT to create and evaluate business cases for all aspects of trading and product.

·         Work closely with the Product (PT) team to design and deliver our new in-play experiences, managing risk, data feeds, best in class market offering and integration solutions.

·         Be responsible for assisting the Trading team (TT) to find solutions to maintain (and improve) high margins through better pricing, fewer errors, and more competitive offerings.

·         Ensure improved understanding of trading operations across the business via regular reports, presentations, and other communication with key stakeholders.

Primary Requisites

• 5+ years’ experience managing a sportsbook trading team.
• Experience managing and developing teams that have been proven to add value at every level.
• Passionate about developing the best possible In-Play betting experience for customers.
• Experience working in a B2B environment to help Sportcast deliver best in class pricing, integration, and customer service.
• A team player who can work with people across levels, functions, culture, and geography to achieve shared goals.

• Deliver high value margin solutions to trading. Benchmarked and measurable.
• Assist delivery of best-in-class product solutions. Benchmarked and measurable.
• Design and implement a strategy to minimize risks across all elements of the business that are affected by trading.
• Delivering the best in-play product in the industry.
• Exceed all client trading SLAs.
• Engage and empower all direct reports to meet their KPIs.
