About Us:
Wellthi is a venture-backed fintech company based in Washington, DC and Nairobi, Kenya. Our company offers a suite of white label social banking APIs, apps and affinity cards designed that institutions can license to increase the lifetime value of customers.
About the position:
As a solutions architect, you will be responsible for building, improving, and influencing the design of our core integrations with our largest financial institution partners. This involves updating products, features, and services across our entire stack to ensure seamless experiences for our customers, consumers, and partners. It is the most mission-critical component of our infrastructure as it connects millions of bank accounts and billions of transactions to Plaid.
We’re architected around decoupled services. We are looking for someone to come in and help piece together a long-term roadmap for how these services need to work together to ensure reliable, high-quality data access .

What excites us:
15+ years of production experience, core fundamentals, and a strong command of at least one language
Background in computer science, engineering, or another related field and a strong track record of building interesting fintech projects

You may be fit for this role if you:
Extensive experience in financial technology and building or integrating financial solutions and software development kits for financial institutions
Experience working with bank core processors like Fiserv, FIS, Plaid, Jack Henry or Marqueta
Broad knowledge of banking & financial sector from a solution's design & API platform point of view
Experience in full-stack development and software architecture patterns, able to understand how a wide variety of technologies and systems interact with each other
Great communication skills, comfortable explaining complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Interest in solving open-ended business problems with a combination of technology and creative thinking
Expertise in API Platforms/Gateways
Deep experience in systems design, with a background building and deploying complex applications
Have previous experience working within a fast-paced, startup environment
