We started Routable due to our personal experiences scaling business payments.

Having built in-house solutions, custom integrations to accounting software, and understanding the importance of payments visibility to entire teams, we decided to devote our time to ensuring that companies can be set up with a solution that works for their finance and accounting needs today and in the future.

Description Routable is a B2B payments platform built to make bill payments and mass payouts fast and seamless. Our mission is to be the simplest way to send and receive business-to-business payments. Unlike other payment platforms, Routable’s modern, easy-to-use API allows you to build a powerful payments infrastructure in minutes.

We’re a Series B startup with $46M in funding. We’re helping some of the largest marketplaces and gig economy companies, including Ticketmaster, Snackpass, and Garmentory. Hundreds of finance teams trust our decades of experience in building B2B payment solutions.

About the Role Routable is seeking an experienced Director of Information Technology to support our rapid growth and mature our IT operations. As our Director of IT, you will lead and manage our business systems as we continue to scale and grow as a globally distributed team. The goal is to ensure IT systems and people are effective and functioning in ways that help us achieve end user efficiency and scalability. This role is a player-coach opportunity - you’ll own the strategy and development of the ongoing roadmap for our IT department.

Responsibilities Define and implement roadmap and functionality of the IT organization at Routable Investigate common user problems and develop solutions to prevent similar issues from arising in the future Develop IT strategy and protect sensitive data, systems, and applications from external threats Assist with hardware procurement and asset management Provide hardware, software and peripheral support to all team members Manage the administration of GSuite and other cloud applications Create IT documentation and processes to assist users and conduct training sessions where needed Research and evaluate new products and services that help keep our IT environment current and relevant Manage relationships with IT vendors and consultants, evaluating and researching new vendors as needed Be on call and able to manage critical issues outside normal work hours Minimum Qualifications Experience working in IT operations, supervising technology teams, and overseeing large information technology projects Significant leadership, decision-making, and project management skills at both technology and/or B2B startup environments Enjoy a fast-paced, globally distributed, and changing environment that enables you to juggle many types of projects at once Deep knowledge of allied teams and how to partner effectively with them (e.g., People (HR), Engineering, Security, etc.) Experienced with relevant tools and systems such as Apple Macbooks, Google Workplace, OneLogin/OKTA, as well as cloud services such as AWS, Azure or GCP. Experience using Rippling as a solution is a plus.

Location You must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Reporting The Director of Information Technology reports directly to the VP of Engineering, Brian Walerius.

Rendezvous To help foster amazing relationships with our coworkers, we meet up twice a year as a whole team in some pretty awesome cities! In the past we’ve met up in San Diego, Seattle, and Austin. We’d rather invest money into memorable team events rather than expensive offices. During our meet-up team time, we love to spend time learning a new skill together, and solving problems. Most recently this has taken on the form of a bread-making class and defeating an Escape Room.
