The Senior HR Business Partner will work closely in partnership with the business unit Managing Directors to create, lead and execute the People Strategy for the business unit, to achieve its strategic business initiatives and results. The People Strategy is an integral part of the Business Strategy.

The Senior HR Business Partner has a firm seat around the leadership table and is a trusted advisor to the business unit Managing Director and senior leadership team. You will deliver in partnership with the HR function, to increase workforce capability, drive high performance, providing change leadership, whilst driving the strategic talent management /succession agenda.

Job Description

Sound interesting? Here's what you'll be responsible for: 

  • Manages the end-to-end talent management process, from strategic workforce planning, supporting the business in hiring talent, on-boarding, identifying talent internally and succession planning to facilitating talent and succession planning discussions and supporting the construction and implementation of development plans and initiatives.
     
  • Champions a high performance culture, with strategies in the business area to strengthen and embed throughout the organisation
     
  • To the Senior Leaders, act as a confidante and thought partner; a trusted coach and counsel and a valued voice, providing innovative ideas, provocation and challenge to the senior leadership team, as well as advice and insight.
     
  • Partner with key stakeholders to formulate and execute strategies that drive talent, capability and engagement growth across the relevant business area(s). Partners with the CoE to execute strategy and builds credible partnerships with CoE partners
     
  • Works across the business and HR function to ensure there is an available talent pipeline to meet the business strategy, in the short, medium and long term. Has a continuous focus on the employee and candidate experience across all of the processes, initiatives and ways of working
     
  • Ensure retention and effective focused development is facilitated for our high potential employees
     
  • Champion a culture of collaboration and innovation as well as ensuring the fair treatment of employees.
     
  • Works in partnership with the Reward team to ensure delivery of an appropriate reward strategy, encompassing salary, bonus, LTIPs and other benefits to support the business units.
     
  • Utilise the engagement survey insights to drive activity that is aligned, cohesive and impactful to creating a great place to work.
     
  • Drive Elevate Performance (Experian's learning and performance management platform) ensuring that all team members have stretching personal objectives, development plans and regular performance reviews to embed a high-performance culture.

  • Understand and participate in Elevate Performance ensuring stretching personal objectives, a personal development plan and regular self and team feedback.
  • Comply with Training and Competency requirements and complete required training in a timely manner.
  • Identify and develop high potential employees and ensure an available talent pipeline to meet business and capability requirements.

  • Actively contribute to a culture that achieves the business goals, delights customers and keeps consumer advocacy at the heart of everything we do.
  • Ensure that good client / consumer outcomes are at the centre of all operational activity and decision making.
  • Deliver great clients and consumers service and seek to exceed client / consumer expectations.

 Regulatory

  • Adhere to all regulatory requirements within role responsibility and escalate issues quickly.
  • Pro-actively identify risks and make recommendation to mitigate these.
  • Understand and adhere to specific regulatory obligations and company policies and procedures.

  • Is client focussed and commercially astute with a strong understanding of the business unit, the context and markets in which they operate and their P&L. Able to converse, challenge and add value on business matters.
  • Is a confidante and thought partner, a trusted counsel and a valued voice, providing innovative ideas, provocation, influence and challenge to the management / leadership teams.
  • Is credible and confident, displaying great energy, impact, gravitas, conviction, passion and drive in everything they do, with good levels of emotional intelligence and common sense.
  • Has strong coaching abilities supporting the leadership team on matters from people issues to personal development.
  • Excellent stakeholder management with the emphasis on delivery through others – communicates challenges and influences a variety of stakeholders across the organisation effectively
  • Adapts and works effectively with a variety of situations, individuals or groups. Is able to understand and appreciate different and opposing perspectives on an issue, to adapt an approach as the requirements of a situation change.
  • Can maintain personal effectiveness by managing own emotions in the face of pressure and setbacks. Can demonstrate an approach to work that is characterised by commitment and motivation.

  • Able to simplify complex problems, processes or projects into component parts, explore and evaluate them systematically. Able to identify causal relationships, and construct frameworks, for decision making and problem-solving. Transforms proposals/ideas into practical reality.

Functional:

  • Deep understanding across the breadth of the HR service offering
  • Experience of managing complex renumeration offerings and complex transformation programs
  • Applies knowledge of policies, processes, governance and legislation to ensure decisions are taken that mitigate risks but are commercially astute
  • Experienced in adopting Agile ways of working into HR processes.

Qualifications

  • Degree holder
  • Ideally holds CIPD
