Sr. Consultant - Education

Resultant was founded as KSM Consulting in 2008. 

To help continue our rapid growth by solving our clients’ toughest challenges, Resultant is looking for a strong Sr. Consultant with extensive experience with K-12 education.  

You will lead the design of complex solutions that combine people, process, and technology to respond to the needs of our education services in our community at the state and national level.  You will collaborate with project delivery professionals and technical leaders in modern data engineering, data science, data visualization, business application, and others to design and implement solutions that equip government and nonprofit organizations to address the needs of the K-12 education sector.  

Consider your day-to-day responsibilities in this role: 

• Leverages network of relationships and proactively pursues new relationships with key stakeholders  

• Works directly with early care leaders and government leadership to lead successful solutions. 

• Provides early care and education subject matter expertise and design input to projects and solutions. 

• Initiates and proactively engages to find new ways for Resultant to evolve and grow in early education work 

• Facilitates collaborative sessions with community stakeholders and clients to shape meaningful technical solutions. 

• Independently and collaboratively produces analysis findings that inform client strategies. 

• Ensures business and functional requirements are met. 

• Often leads ad hoc solution efforts and cross-practice services. 

• Defines, prioritizes, and achieves strategic objectives for projects/platforms. 

• Drives collaboration across a technical consulting team.

Some of the qualifications and skills we are expecting include the following: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field of study 

• Graduate Degree in a relevant field of study, strongly preferred 

• 5+ years of experience in the education space 

• Familiarity with K-12 technology and data systems, strongly preferred 

• Experience and familiarity on local, state, and federal policy, services, and programs 

• Excellent written and verbal communications, including technical writing skills 

• Ability to present and tailor insights to technical and non-technical audiences 

• Strong research, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and business judgment skills 

• Strong understanding of systems architecture concepts 

• Adaptably understand, elicit, and document functional and non-functional requirements 

• Excellent computer skills (Office Products), advanced skills in Excel are a plus 

• Experience with analytics platforms (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) are a plus 

• Experience with project management, client-management, account-based management, leading projects, organizational leadership a plus 

• Hands-on to get things done fast and the ability to work without continual guidance 

• Practices human-centered design; experience with design thinking methodology is a plus 

• Attention to detail combined with creative thinking 

• Strong client service orientation
