The Software Quality Assurance (SWQA) Engineer will lead the governance of software releases developed for FCA products to ensure the process compliance and to assure software meets the expectations for both FCA internal standards as well as software industry standards.
General Skills:
Demonstrated understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle activities (all phases)
Understanding of the Software QA activities and best practices, methodologies, tools and processes
Demonstrated understanding of the Requirement Management activities and best practices
Ability to lead software quality audits with supplier software development teams
Automotive embedded systems and software development
Management reporting, review and audit experience
Development of software quality metrics and processes
Project management experience
Software requirement writing
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of software experience in a related field such as Embedded Software Developer or Test Engineer
Minimum 3 years of Systems Engineering experience in related field
Minimum 3 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Quality Management System
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Electrical Engineering or Computer science from an accredited university
Tech Skills:
Knowledge of Automotive SPICE, CMMI and ISO/IEC 33000 (ASPICE preferred)
Software architecture design and programming experience
Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies and V-model development
Knowledge of software integration and testing
Knowledge of programming languages C, C++, MATLAB, Simulink, Python
Familiarity with microprocessor-based controls and development tools
Best practices and tools of software engineering – DevOps
AUTOSAR Classic and Adaptive
MISRA tools/compliance experience
INCOSE requirement standards
Languages Skills
Advanced English is essential for the position (written and oral)
Preferred Skills
Master degree in Electronic Engineering or Computer Science Engineering
5-10 years of experience in software development with Functional Safety, Cyber Security standards and Autosar architecture
5-10 years of software development experience with Automotive Embedded Controllers
5-10 years of Software Quality Assurance experience
5-10 years of first hand software development experience
ASPICE certification
AGILE ScrumMaster certification
Software DFMEA experience
