The Infrastructure team designs, builds and operates the foundation for Wolt’s services: a robust scalable infrastructure that behaves in known, predictable ways. 

It provides expertise on infrastructure, scaling and automation, working closely with other teams in the Core group. 

As a DevOps Engineer in Wolt, you will build and maintain scalable, cost effective and resilient systems with technologies like Kubernetes running in AWS. You'll be solving day to day issues, helping our engineering teams with infrastructure needs of new services as well as doing long-term work to increase our level of automation and future proofing our infrastructure for the hyper growth still to come. Hungry customers are angry customers and hence our APIs are built to be reliable, scalable and high-performing. 

Building the best products requires everyone to take responsibility and be proactive. At Wolt, software engineers take ownership of the things they have built, from writing maintainable and scalable code to making sure it’s running properly in production. You’ll be working closely with our software engineers to make sure that the platform running the services fulfills the constantly growing requirements of our business.

To succeed in this role you should have experience with large scale, distributed and busy environments. You’ll be a great asset to the team if you have experience in building and maintaining infrastructure in cloud environments (AWS), great knowledge of Linux and hands-on Kubernetes skills. You’re comfortable with Terraform (or similar IaC tools) and scripting (Bash, Go, Python or other programming languages) and have views and opinions on CI/CD pipelines. Previous experience with databases (Postgres or MongoDB), Kafka, Redis and Hashicorp Vault or in-depth security or network expertise are considered a big plus!

The compensation will be a negotiable combination of monthly pay and Wolt stock options. The latter make it exceptionally easy to be excited about our company growing and doing well, as you'll own a piece of the pie.
