Senior Audio Programmer

miHoYo was founded in the Spring of 2011 by several super OTAKUs from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

Having faith in "Technical Otakus Save the World"​, miHoYo is dedicated to create anime-style moe games and related products, saves our fellow believers by shaping a series of miHoYo virtual idols.

The first notable title was Guns Girl Z, released in 2014. Since then, miHoyo has seen success releasing anime-style games that primarily appealed to mobile gamers. 

The most recent and popular game is Genshin Impact, released in September 2020.  A commercial success, the game grossed over $1 billion within six months of release.

miHoYo established its branch in Montreal, Canada in 2020.

• Develop, implement, and maintain systems that manage and enhance  audio playback
• Understand gameplay code and facilitate the integration of audio systems and triggers
• Analyze sound playback and work with audio designers to improve the  overall audio experience
• Participate in the design process and be available to designers to answer questions about audio implementation
• Create and maintain systems for audio voice monitoring, management,  and debugging
• Work with QA to support and plan testing of sound

• 5+ years professional software development skills 
• Excellent C++ coding and debugging skills with experience in code optimization
• Familiar with audio concepts (DSP, FFT, streaming, etc.) and middleware (Wwise, Fmod, etc.)
• Interest in working on various audio related tasks, including research and development of proprietary tools
• Ability to function effectively in a team environment, while prioritizing  your own workload

Nice to Have:
Experience working as a sound designer
Understanding of audio streaming on different platforms
Live game experience
