The Account Management organization is looking for an experienced-leader to lead our Enterprise Account Managers. The team is focused on the retention and growth of our highest-value existing sellers, and partners closely with an end-to-end deal team to establish new deals from Enterprise Sales.
You will be responsible for coaching and developing a high-performing team whose efforts will continue Square’s journey up-market. You will develop processes, tooling, insights and metrics that ensure our ability to scale the program. Your in-depth experience building executive alignment with customers as well as advising in the negotiation of high-value contracts will be paramount to your team’s success.
The ideal candidate will have lengthy experience consulting, solutioning or direct-selling into companies within the enterprise market segment. They will also have significant experience leading teams, performance managing results and advocating internally for customers. Stand-out candidates derive their energy from building things and generally feel comfortable operating in the unknown.
You will:
Coach, develop and lead a distributed team of senior Account Managers
Consistently deliver positive revenue outcomes while maintaining a high-ROI
Bring an executive presence to high-value customer pitches and contract negotiations
Create operational efficiencies through stream-lined repeatable business processes
Identify and recruit world-class talent both internally and externally to Square
Promote an environment of trust and collaboration throughout the deal process
Always lead with curiosity and empathy in support of your team
You have:
8+ years experience in Account Management, Business Development, or Sales
4+ years experience coaching people and leading teams
Extensive experience in a metrics-driven sales organization
Proven ability to influence teams in rapidly growing environments
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, organizational and communication skills
Experience working for a start-up is a plus
Bachelor's degree or higher
