The Role

Join the Strategic Pricing and Analytics team and become part of the front line in supporting the success of the North America business.  Our team is responsible for orchestrating process governance and a consistent methodology to pricing across our various sales channels, product suites and client segments. Our team is committed to Sales empowerment, self-service, commercial creativity and speed of sale.  We engage directly with Sales, Commercial Management and Clients to construct and negotiate competitive and creative pricing deals to win business aligned to client success and financial objectives. 

Job Description

What you’ll be doing

You will provide thought leadership to executives across multiple functions.  This unique role truly works across all facets of the organization (sales, marketing, operations, contracts, finance and clients) to secure business for Experian. You will lead a team, develop talent, and cultivate an inclusive environment.

  • Collaborate with internal partners within Sales, Contracts, Revenue Management and Marketing to move pricing proposals from inception, to negotiation to implementation.
  • Actively structure and participate in pricing negotiations, deal structure, profitability models and sales efforts across multiple Experian lines of businesses, verticals and Sales channels.
  • Creatively position pricing responses for Proposal requests that maximize revenues, ensure future spend and builds market share.
  • Analyze and interpret key operational performance metrics that focus on deal dispositions, Sales collaboration, inter-company agreements and pricing strategy execution.
  • Foster standardization to achieve transparency in pricing across Sales and Product functions, foster automation of quote generation where-ever feasible through the implementation of our automated price quoting tool CPQ (Contract Price Quote)
  • Negotiate and track inter-company deal agreements for revenue shares and allocations. 
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing for new product development, product pricing and product launch, as well as rational wind down/sunsetting of products.  
  • Manage and approve implementation of pricing requests.
  • Work with Technology Delivery Team and Sales in creating, negotiating and tracking client service offerings and penalty agreements.  
  • Drive an outside-in perspective by understanding and sharing the market landscape and identify areas to accelerate business growth
  • Provide insight for the business based on industry data and public disclosures from key industry players.
  • Demonstrate a growth mindset and digital agility to leverage opportunities to drive efficiency across the business

Qualifications

What your background looks like

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in finance, management consulting, corporate strategy, or similar environment particularly pricing.
  • Prior Sales, Sales Support, Sales Operations or Product Marketing experience preferred.       
  • Expert communicator across different audiences.
  • A proven track record of partnering with the business to deliver significant financial outcomes.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, data-driven environment

Following experience is not required but is a plus

  • Understanding of general technology terminology, services, and project lifecycles
  • Experience with AWS products (Cloud), charging methodologies, resource tagging, and cost optimization techniques
  • Experience working with Oracle, Hyperion, Salesforce and Tableau as well as home grown applications
