Job Description

The Opportunity

Shopify is making commerce simple. We help merchants of all sizes the scalability, reliability and flexibility they need to grow their business.

Shopify is helping power commerce for companies like Unilever, Heinz, Allbirds, Elle Mcpherson and many more. To accelerate our growth, we’re searching for an exceptional Sales professional to join the Shopify sales team in Southern Europe. 

Shopify is establishing itself across EMEA, so you will be responsible for helping us build on our early successes in the European market. In this role, you will help identify revenue opportunities in the SMB, Mid-market and enterprise retail space, plan got to market strategies, close business and ultimately contribute to the build and scale of the EMEA sales operation

This team will be critical to our success and will have the opportunity to impact Shopify and help our growth across EMEA.

We're rapidly building a local cross-functional team across the continent capable of acting on country specific growth opportunities, supported by teams across EMEA.

You will be one of the first Senior direct sales professionals on the ground in Continental Europe for Shopify, which is one of our most exciting and fastest growing markets.

What would you do here?

  • Develop and implement a go-to-market plan for mid-to-large merchants in France.

  • Collaborate in sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes for our teams.

  • Execute on customer acquisition and revenue generation specifically for our Shopify Plus plan and other Shopify solutions as they roll out in-country.

  • Contribute to team hires and support the build of a high performing sales team in a player-coach role.

  • Engage and educate the local market on Shopify product offerings.

  • Build and maintain executive relationships with customers, acting as a trusted advisor and focusing on merchant-centric solutions.

Qualifications

  • Passion for sales and for building amazing teams.

  • A love for data and how it can help sales teams win.

  • Experience in direct sales and sales management, preferably in e-commerce, SaaS, or Technology sales.

  • The desire to get your hands dirty and have an impact.

  • Deep understanding of sales cycles, metrics and experience closing complex enterprise sales cycles.

  • A clear understanding of the local markets.

  • Fluency in French and English mandatory and any european language is optional.
