Data Analyst, Global Systems Engineering

Your Career

Reporting to the Director of Systems Engineering Strategy and Operations, you will understand the Global System Engineering (SE) business motions and apply data analytics across various sources that support our technical sales process.  You will collaborate with the SE community to create clear, insightful, and actionable data views that drive strategic decisions.  In partnership with SE leadership, you will not only understand the requirements at hand, but think forward on how to build the proper data structures and visualizations that support a rapidly growing business.  You will lead analytics projects from discovery to solution and help the Global SE community raise the bar on how we apply data to business decisions.

Your Impact  

●      Establish relationships with SE leaders across the globe to understand data analytics needs

●      Efficiently translate business questions and challenges into data investigations that find answers

●      Deliver findings to stakeholders through presentations and direct engagement that result in actions and improved decision making

●      Seek out new initiatives and determine the proper data sources needed that allow for growth and discovery of the unknown.

●      Collect, build, and maintain qualitative and quantitative global dashboards.

●      Ensure existing reports/dashboards/programs are current, effective, and operating efficiently. Investigate and troubleshoot data issues that arise.

●      Develop process documentation to codify workflows and dependencies.

●      Support change management and standardized data onboarding across existing reports.

●      Partner with analyst functions outside of global SE org to understand the tools and processes being leveraged across the company.

●      Stay on the cutting edge of analytics, learning and working with new tools as appropriate

Your Experience

●      Expertise in connecting and correlating diverse and distributed data

●      Analytical thinker with a proven ability to solve complex, technical problems

●      Ability to visualize data that clearly communicates findings to the viewer

●      Organized with great communication/summarization skills

●      Knowledge of tools including Google Sheets, SQL, BigQuery, Tableau, Google Data Studio, Einstein and Saleforce.  Background with Python, ELK, and Splunk a plus.

●      Past experiences of both contributing individually as well as part of a team

●      Must be able to think both creatively and critically.

●      Constant drive to exceed expectations
