Job Description

About the position

The Commercial Proposition Manager will be responsible for driving the overall commercial success of the payment propositions for a defined industry vertical (Travel & Mobility, Retail, Hospitality). The role is responsible for the strategy, execution and commercialization of the propositions in the market, incl. front book and back book proposition development, and the Go-To-Market activities.

We want to follow the talent - so while we have the role is advertised, we are happy to find talent in any of our European locations (Denmark, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Germany, Croatia, Switzerland, Austria to name a few!).

 

  • You will be pushing boundaries to introduce new and innovative commercial
  • propositions, to match product and brand promises with customer needs. You are overall responsible for designing and prioritizing the commercial propositions to maximize revenue opportunities in the industry vertical, and by that securing the commercial success of the propositions.
  • To be successful in the role, the candidate will incorporate merchant feedback, trends,
  • segmentation needs and market research in the commercial offerings. The person will have to ensure that designed features capture the end to end needs of the merchants. To be successful the person will work across functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Product and Technology, and Pricing.
  • Success will be measured by ensuring key performance metrics are being met and exceeded in our targeted commercial propositions. Ultimately, you'll help drive best in class customer propositions that deliver the LAKA and Nets overall mission and commercials.

Responsibilities

  • Owning the strategic commercial proposition for the industry vertical, including design,
  • execution, pricing, marketing, go to market activities.
  • Driving the commercialization and go to market strategy for the vertical proposition and being accountable for the commercial success of the proposition and vertical.
  • Engaging with Sales, Marketing, Pricing, Product and Technology to define and implement the commercial propositions required to win in the industry vertical, to gain insights, and to identify merchant needs and solutions.
  • Working with cross-functional teams to get buy-in/approval/guidance, including lines of
  • business, operations, finance, legal, compliance, security, fraud, and related functions.
  • Track and monitor key performance indicators.
  • Establish KPI goals and objectives for the commercial propositions.
  • Provide transparency and ongoing communications with a line of business partners/key
  • stakeholders.
  • Actively monitor industry trends; participate in industry forums, professional associations, conferences, etc.

Qualifications

Your professional skills and experience form most of your qualifications, but it’s also your personality that makes the difference at Nets. 

Your professional qualifications include:

  • Experience as a proposition manager/owner or a similar role in product or commercial management, ideally in a payments industry or with experience of the industry vertical - this is the Hospitality and Travel and Mobility sector.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic development and thinking, entrepreneurial vision and program execution with B2B product and propositions.
  • Excellent commercial credentials, with a deep track record of driving commercial
  • outcomes. P&L ownership experience preferred.
  • Good technical background with an understanding of the software development life cycle, and a good sense for a preeminent user experience.

Your personal qualifications include:

  • Effortlessly collaborative with strong intellectual curiosity and creative problem-solving.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work through complex concepts/data and present well-thought-out, simple solutions.
  • Stakeholder management skills in promoting and releasing the propositions.
  • Ability to work in (and lead) a virtual team environment.
  • Team spirit and good communication abilities, as well as motivational skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • University degree.
  • Fluent in English, with proficiency in either Danish or German helpful.
