Intralogistics Innovation – Internship on Communication of Innovation activities

Intralogistics consists of more than 100 co-workers based in Dortmund (Germany), King of Prussia (USA), Älmhult and Lund (Sweden). The organization belongs to the Supply Chain Development (SCD) function of IKEA Supply.

Intralogistics is the process of establishing, optimising, integrating, automating and conceptualising logistical (handling & storage) flows for any IKEA unit that has a logistic or fulfilment component.

Within Intralogistics Innovation we are responsible for:

• Taking a lead and being in the forefront as a multichannel retailer
• Support IKEA’s growth by developing innovative, efficient and flexible handling and storage solutions, products available for any IKEA unit
• Support the development networks by prototyping and testing innovative solutions
• Leading, steering and coaching the development of high performing handling and storage equipment in own projects or through local development projects
• Acting as centre of intralogistics expertise for innovations and development

We are looking for a skilled and motivated student that is willing to join IKEA Supply for a 6-months internship starting in September 2021.

During the internship the student will support the Intralogistics Innovation Team in several communication activities that will touch a wide range of areas including:

• Project communication and marketing support.
• Assist in researching and assembling content for communication (newsletters, case studies, brochures, videos, etc.)
• Support in the development of content and media related material.
• Creation of banners/graphics for adverts and videos.

This position is open to full remote, in-office (in our office IKEA Intralogistics AB office in Älmhult), or a hybrid of both.

The student should have a background in Communication, Marketing, Digital Media or a similar degree.

The student should:

• Feel comfortable to work in an international environment
• Have English fluency
• Have energy, motivation, and capability in creating high quality communication material from all dimensions: templates, language, content
• Have high level of proficiency with Ms PowerPoint and Word
• Be knowledgeable of video editing and applications (preferred: Adobe Premier Pro, Photoshop/Lightroom)
• Bring ability to create engaging "social media" style of content for Internal IKEA communication channels
• Have attention to detail
•  Have high interest in technology and innovation, machine design is a plus

The student should have a passion for Innovation. The students must be fluent in English.
