Insider Threat Analyst

Twitter is seeking a full-time Insider Threat Analyst on Twitter’s Corporate Security team. The Insider Threat Analyst will work alongside Twitter's InfoSec Team to analyze potential insider threats and mitigate the risks posed to Twitter assets. This position is ideal for a motivated self-starter who is eager to serve in a hybrid role, fusing operational security, research, and analysis. This role will interface closely with InfoSec, Compliance, Trust and Safety, Twitter Service, and other internal stakeholders. This role requires established open source investigations and research skills as well as strong analytic writing and briefing skills. The analyst must be able to synthesize complex information from various sources, and convey risk and analytical assessment data in a clear and concise manner.

As a Threat Analyst, you will::

• Monitor, identify, and analyze internal security risks to determine their impact on Twitter assets.

• Synthesize data and findings with general trend research, to provide investigative support to the Insider Threat team.

• Assess the validity of all security risks and triage using solid prioritization skills

• Utilize commercial databases and open source investigative tools.

• Collaborate with the various stakeholders when required to investigate internal threats. 

• Communicate effectively and tactfully with key stakeholders both internally and externally.

• Minimum 5+ years conducting online/open source investigations and technical security analysis; formal training preferred

• Cyber security experience preferred

• Experience with social media monitoring tools is a plus

• Minimum educational requirement of a Bachelor’s Degree or experience in a related field

• Ability to adapt to a unique corporate culture-

• Basic understanding of insider threat tactics, techniques, and procedures

• Experience communicating technical security concerns and issues to non-technical audience
