Job Description

The Director of IT, Shared Services, is critical to the success of CoEnterprise in realizing its goals and objectives. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the IT Shared Services model is consistently delivering and effectively collaborating to exceed business unit and customer expectations. This role will have IT strategy, operational, financial and delivery responsibilities for our business units that include professional services and our proprietary supply chain software platform, Syncrofy. The IT Director will partner with business unit leaders to stimulate and shape demand for IT solutions while ensuring delivery of these solutions generates measurable business value for our customers. This individual will provide leadership and mentorship to IT Shared Services team members to develop, grow and transform this team into a true business-enabling engine. The Director is accountable for the strategic technology roadmap as well as identifying, qualifying, and driving adoption of technology solutions that propel the business forward.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead all technology initiatives and be the trusted partner/advisor for IT helpdesk, cloud and DevOps, network, data, security, applications and hardware.
  • Drive the creation and enhancement of solutions that focus on addressing business challenges and needs that drive efficiency and performance effectiveness for the business and clients.
  • Ownership of all strategic aspects of technology including systems, tool and vendor selection, and all information technology needs that will enable business units.
  • Lead, coach, manage and develop a team of IT professionals.
  • Manage business / client requests, demand planning, portfolio and financial management for all IT engagements.
  • Manage annual IT budgets and spend across departments
  • Analyze business requests to determine the best approach to creating successful resolution delivery solutions/projects effectively and efficiently.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and address the cost-effectiveness and return on investment of all IT services, systems, and hardware
  • Work collaboratively across all IT functions, vendors, and internal teams to ensure successful delivery of initiatives.
  • Project ownership and understanding the status of all IT initiatives and how they work and integrate into the business ecosystem.
  • Align IT services with current and future needs of the business and our customers while improving quality of services delivered.
  • Develop and drive a detailed strategy for governance, shared processes, continuous integration and delivery strategy in support of business and IT roadmap initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities where technology can provide automation, cost savings, competitive advantage and game-changing innovation.
  • Identify new industry and emerging technology solutions that will add value to our clients’ business.
  • Create and drive an organizational culture of continuous capability development and efficiency.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership that helps drive business success.
  • Promote the values of CoEnterprise across all functions by supporting a team approach to focus on customers as our top priority.

Qualifications

Knowledge And Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of prior and relevant experience leading either business or technology teams required, including 6 years of management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Business Management, Information Technology preferred
  • Experience managing IT Help Desk Support, Server/Cloud and DevOps, Networking, Security and Database teams
  • Experience creating and managing IT budgets
  • Experience leveraging automation to reduce IT complexity, human error and costs
  • Demonstrated track record of creating technology solutions to solve business problems.
  • Understanding of the IT industry, emerging technologies and trends, industry standards, solution architecture, the vendor landscape and best practices.
  • Experience with vendor management, contracts, service level agreements Strong customer/ stakeholder relationship management skills with internal customers and constituents.
  • Ability to effectively interface with senior leadership and demonstrate executive presence.
  • Strategic thinking focused on business value results that utilize technical solutions.
  • Ability to communicate technical or complex subject matter in business terms.
  • Strong collaboration, teamwork and relationship building skills across multiple levels and functions in the organization.
  • Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, financial analytical skills and decision-making skills.
  • People management, coaching and development skills.
  • Exceptional ability to lead change using positive and collaborative methods.
  • Skilled at conflict resolution and problem-solving to achieve win-win outcomes.
  • Demonstrated acumen and passion for business and technology.
  • Prior consulting experience is a plus.
