Job Description

Techo-Bloc’s IT team is growing and we are looking for an Application Support Specialist with a dynamic and go getter personality to act as the main resource for all functional, application and user support related issues for our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 system.  The successful candidate will be part of the Canadian IT Team and will be collaborating with a team of 3 other team-members in a stimulating, fast-paced and changing environment.

Main responsibilities:

Client support (approx. 50% of your time)

  • Provide direct and continuous support and assistance to Dynamics AX end users to ensure reliable and efficient business operations;
  • Act as the primary contact for all functional and application AX support;
  • Work with end users on all functional modules and provide desktop coaching and training on procedures and apps as needed.

 Functional / Technical support (approx. 50% of your time)

  • Maintain AX documentation, standards and translate the business knowledge to functional requirements in a timely manner;
  • Perform Security Administration and set up for Dynamics AX;
  • Perform general technical troubleshooting/debugging and provide consultation to Finance/Accounting teams;
  • Understand business requirements and documents any workaround solutions for functions and processes creating issues;
  • Collaborate and works closely with the Development team to facilitate communication and understanding of business processes and system functionality;
  • Work closely with the entire IT Team on developing permanent or temporary solutions to resolve and prevent recurring issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or College degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field or equivalent certifications and work experience.
  • three (3) to five (5) years of Dynamics AX experience in a support/administrative role with involvement in some technical database or development tasks preferred.
  • Ability to communicate well both orally and in written English/French.
  • Effectively communicates with individuals at all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to deliver results independently and works positively with team members in order to continuously improve the business.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to create and evaluate a course of action/ direction, strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to handle sudden changes in project/priority and multiple tasks simultaneously and under pressure in a positive manner.
  • Proficiency at learning and analyzing business processes and requirements.
  • Well-rounded exposure to multiple AX modules, emphasis on Financials (GL, AR, AP, FA, BR, PA).
  • Understanding of Intercompany transactions, a plus.
  • Must be able to create/modify security roles, and good understanding of batch jobs.
  • Relevant Dynamics AX certifications, a plus.
  • Dynamics 365 experience, a plus.
