Job Description

ABOUT THE JOB 

We are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to contribute to something big:

  • Help shape the future: You will develop high-performance and robust software for different components deployed in autonomous driving applications in products like LiDAR. 

  • Moving from science fiction to reality: Contribute directly to functional development in LiDAR which is going to be used in Level 3 and 4 driving automation scenarios. 

  • Agile cooperation: You will work in an agile and multi-cultural development team and cooperate across several international R&D locations. We offer the possibility to have international assignments aligned with your goals and availability.   

  • Continuous Learning: We need both junior and senior profiles for these projects. As a Junior you will get the support from internal mentors to get you up to speed and contribute to the project. As a Senior, you will have the opportunity to share your knowledge with an on-growing professional, while developing yourself. 

Qualifications

WHO YOU ARE

Experience:  

  • You have hands-on experience with different microcontrollers architectures (e.g. ARM, Xilinx, NXP, Renesas);

  • You know low-speed (e.g. SPI, UART, I2C, CAN) interfaces;

  • Experience with RTOS and FPGA is a plus; 

  • Experience with Agile and Scrum methodology is a plus. 

Know-how:  

  • Education: You have a B.Sc., M.Sc. or PhD in Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field;

  • You have good embedded programming skills in C and/or C++;

  • You have extensive experience in debugging SW;

  • You are comfortable using version control tools (e.g Git, SVN) and build tools (e.g. CMake);

  • Knowledge in laboratory instrumentation as a user is a plus;

  • Knowledge of motor control and/or functional safety (ISO26262) is a plus;

  • Knowledge in AUTOSAR is a plus.
