Job Description

What will you do day to day?

Your main responsibility will be responsible for delivering carbon savings for client sites though:

  • Desk top analysis (DTA) of energy data to identify key areas to focus on when on site surveys.
  • Customer site surveys, including site walk-arounds as well as more detailed reviews of how the building and its plant operates.
  • Reporting on findings from surveys to key stakeholders
  • Processing any health and safety issues through our hazard/near miss reporting platform to maintain safe working environments
  • From the DTAs and site surveys, identify new carbon conservation measures and keep internal trackers up to date
  • Liaise and communicate well internally within the energy team, with Mitie FM colleagues and with key client contacts to maintain excellent working relationships which are critical in delivering results for our customers.
  • Share best practise methods
  • Attend client meetings to provide updates on contract performance
  • Perform ad hoc surveys and other work as new contracts land and supporting our colleagues where needed

Who will you work with?

You will be working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders

  • Energy colleagues based all over the UK and attend regular team meetings (online and in person) to maintain contact and share knowledge
  • FM contacts on client sites will be your point of contact for site access, site knowledge and for delivery of carbon reduction initiatives
  • Most importantly, you will liaise closely with our customer contacts, keeping them up to date with contract performance and going the extra mile to ensure their continued support – our client’s business is our business.

Qualifications

You will be educated to at least degree level in a relevant subject e.g. sustainability, energy, environment, mechanical/electrical engineering.

Experience & Skills

You will have demonstrable experience in the following;

  • Understanding of and experience working with energy/carbon data sets
  • Experience of site energy auditing
  • Strong data analysis skills
  • Strong report writing and presentation skills
  • Confident managing a variety of stakeholders
  • Project management experience 

Additional Information

Health and Safety responsibilities:

  • Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times;
  • Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment;
  • Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received;
  • Report any issues or training needs to your  Line manager and /or  via your divisional incident reporting system;
