Job Description

A unique opportunity has become available for a seasoned business development /sales professional to join our small but growing EMEA sales team based in London.

This newly created role is pivotal as you will be a key player helping the business grow, by identifying new business leads & opportunities across the UK, European and African markets. Globally we have customers in different types of industries such as construction, manufacturing, logistics and mining. Your role is to find new potential customers in those, and other segments.  

This is a standalone role, so to be successful you need to be pro-active, autonomous, driven, and a great relationship builder with your remote colleagues across different regions. You will drive initiatives to penetrate new markets and customer activations to help the business achieve desired sales growth and to increase revenue streams, brand loyalty, and customer satisfaction.

You will be tenacious, creative and actively hunt and develop market intelligence through research, networking activities and various mediums including LinkedIn, digital marketing, partners and webinars. 

You will be rewarded through a generous commission structure where you can earn an additional 40% of your salary in activity bonus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contact potential clients to establish rapport and arrange business meetings.
  • Research organizations and individuals to find new opportunities.
  • Generate leads and cold call prospective customers.
  • Track individual contributors and their accomplishments.
  • Screens potential business deals by analysing market strategies, deal requirements, and financials.
  • Make professional decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Discover and develop new markets and improving sales through various methods.
  • Collaborate with sales team to ensure requirements are met, such as sales numbers and profit goals.
  • Promote Damstra’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
  • Work strategically – carrying out necessary planning in order to implement operational changes.
  • Attend seminars, conferences, and events where appropriate.
  • Have a good understanding of Damstra’s products or services and be able to advise others about them
  • Liaising with internal and external clients as a first point of contact for Damstra queries.
  • High level attention to detail.
  • Maintaining accurate and consistent data entry across various Damstra systems.
  • Undertake other duties and special projects as directed by management in keeping with the employee’s skills and experience.

 

 

Qualifications

You are passionate about business development and lead generation in a highly competitive market. Your ability to open doors and find opportunities and remain resilient when faced with setbacks, is essential for you to succeed in this newly created role.  

Previous experience in a business development capacity from a technology business, and ideally from a SaaS background company in enterprise sales is preferable. A solid understanding of our key customer segments is also highly regarded. 

A confident manner, customer focus, ability to be self-managing and outcome focused are the soft skills required for the role. Experience with Salesforce, Zendesk and Office 365 is an advantage.  

Your success will be measured through lead generation, revenue opportunities and new customers engagement.
