Job Description

What you’ll be doing

We are currently seeking a Data Quality Lead to analyze, monitor, and govern Consumer Permissioned data within Experian. The ideal candidate will have a strong drive for results, interpersonal skills, positive attitude and be passionate about quality and usable data. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of Agile methodology and business acumen to prioritize competing user stories. In addition, you should have strong organization, planning skills with a consistent track record for delivering commitments on time. This position also interacts with third party data providers, and involves data provider due diligence, negotiation and subsequent interactions.  You’ll work in a fast paced, high communication environment where collaboration with the key stakeholders, product management, and development teams is key to your day-to-day success.

Responsibilities:

  • Interfacing with business unit product, architecture, engineering and infrastructure teams to capture requirements and present Artemis’s capabilities regarding consumer permissioned data, and enabled opportunities across the enterprise
  • Specifically focused on detailed data requirements and downstream information capture requirements
  • Maintain and protect holistic view of the subject represented by the data, the consumer.
  • Work with architecture and data engineering to define logical and business data models
  • Delving into stored data to
    • Monitor for data quality
    • Provide analytics on usage by clients and usage of data providers
    • Report on data provider performance over time
    • Mine for data to support business use cases
  • Translate business requirements into actionable technical specifications.
  • Be the primary point of contact for business intelligence and operations teams from other business units and clients.
  • Support and evangelize data governance and stewardship
  • Organize technical and product requirements and distilling into epics and user stories
  • Engaging with engineering teams to clarify and execute against requirements
  • Ensure complete and current documentation of data sources, connections and standards
  • Supporting backlog prioritization and roadmap prioritization
  • Providing analysis to support resource and financial planning
  • Driving technical and product issues through to resolution
  • Facilitating management of technical and product risks through agreeing and tracking mitigating actions
  • Analyzing and negotiating with data providers and agents, as part of data provider due diligence, to verify contribution and conformance to the data strategy

Qualifications

What your background looks like

  • A 4-year degree
  • 5-7+ years of experience in an ecommerce, fintech or technology-forward company that is demonstrably using data to benefit and enrich the lives of the consumers that use their products
  • Solid knowledge in the language of APIs including experience using JSON, Postman, reading swagger documentation and the general ability to work with other technical groups to understand how to query and retrieve data.
  • Be comfortable operating in a variety of capacities including leading, supporting, responsible and accountable
  • Know how to cut through ambiguity to identify the core priorities
  • Able to influence cross-functional teams which include senior executive leaders
  • Able to identity and manage risk in a thoughtful, wise, and logical manner
  • Able to understand how strategy, sales, product, engineering, marketing, accounting, and operations are intertwined
  • NICE TO HAVE: experienced with the concept of consent management and the current status of consumer data privacy, CCPA, GDPR, etc
  • Experience with SQL.
