Job Description

What you’ll be doing

We are currently seeking an experienced Consent Strategy Execution Lead to support and manage the product development requirements for Consent and the use of consumer permissioned data, and support other product teams incorporating consent and consumer permissioned data into their products.  The ideal candidate will have a strong drive for results, strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and be highly effective managing and coordinating cross functional teams. In addition, you should have strong organization, planning skills with a consistent track record for delivering commitments on time. You’ll work in a fast paced, high communication environment where collaboration with the key stakeholders, product management, and development teams is key to your day-to-day success.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent and educate business partners regarding the use of Consumer Permissioned Data and its requirements, implications and obligations
  • Collaborate with product development teams regarding requirements and constraints for the use of a new regional model for consent agreements and the sharing of consumer permissioned data.
  • Interface with business unit product, privacy, compliance, information security, architecture, engineering, and infrastructure teams to capture requirements and present requirements specific to consumer permissioned data while enabling opportunities across the enterprise
  • Focus on global regulatory requirements specific to the collection and protection of personal data along with primary and secondary use requirements
  • Assist and guide product development teams with the process of capturing explicit consent in a consistent and compliant manner
  • Analyzing the technical and product requirements from the perspective of notice, choice and consent and distilling requirements into user stories
  • Analyzing relevant business unit documents to create clear business and technical requirement specifications
  • Analyzing technical and product requirements and distilling into epics and user stories
  • Engaging with scrum teams to clarify and execute against requirements
  • Supporting backlog prioritization and roadmap prioritization
  • Providing analysis to support resource and financial planning
  • Driving technical and product issues through to resolution
  • Facilitating management of technical and product risks through agreeing and tracking mitigating action

Qualifications

What your background looks like

  •  A four-year degree with a preference for an advanced degree in Business, Technology, or a Juris Doctorate
  • Five plus years in a consumer-focused company or with a consulting firm in a client focused privacy role that included deep experience in ecommerce, fintech, or a technology where you were able to demonstrably use data / operationalize data to benefit and enrich the lives of consumers
  • Experienced with the concept of consent management and the current status of consumer data privacy, CCPA, GPDR, or equivalent; 
  • Nice to have: one or more certifications by the International Association of Privacy Professionals including CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT 
  • Be comfortable operating in a variety of capacities including leading, supporting, responsible and accountable
  • Know how to cut through ambiguity to identify the core priorities
  • Able to influence cross-functional teams which include senior executive leaders
  • Able to identity and manage risk in a thoughtful, wise, and logical manner
  • Able to understand how strategy, sales, product, engineering, marketing, accounting, and operations are intertwined
