Job Description

A great opportunity has become available for a seasoned business development /sales professional to join our EMEA sales team based in London.

This newly created role is pivotal as you will be a key player helping the business create effective sales strategies and putting plans in place to identify new business leads & opportunities across the UK, European and African markets.

This is a standalone role, so you will be pro-active, driving initiatives on new market/customer activations to help the business achieve desired sales growth and to increase revenue streams, brand loyalty, and customer satisfaction.

You will have strong working relationship with colleagues across a range of departments, especially with the field sales representatives who will support and help to convert warm business leads to contractual opportunities. You will continue to evolve and respond to customers and market changes timely, actively hunt and develop market intelligence through research, networking activities and various mediums including LinkedIn, digital marketing, partners and webinars. 

 

The Business Development Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation of business objectives among Damstra’s business development professionals.  Their duties include comparing current sales numbers to desired quotas, delegating sales tasks among team members, and meeting with upper management to discuss their progress. They will manage client accounts and come up with new sales ideas. This includes new sales strategies, sales pitches, and business plans.

Key Responsibilities

·        Contact potential clients to establish rapport and arrange business meetings.

·        Research organizations and individuals to find new opportunities.

·        Generate leads and cold call prospective customers.

·        Track individual contributors and their accomplishments.

·        Screens potential business deals by analysing market strategies, deal requirements, and financials.

·        Make professional decisions in a fast-paced environment

·        Discover and develop new markets and improving sales through various methods.

·        Collaborate with sales team to ensure requirements are met, such as sales numbers and profit goals.

·        Promote Damstra’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives

·        Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction.

·        Work strategically – carrying out necessary planning in order to implement operational changes.

·        Attend seminars, conferences, and events where appropriate.

·        Have a good understanding of Damstra’s products or services and be able to advise others about them.

·        Manage records or sales, revenue, and other important data.

·        Develop goals for the development team and business growth and ensuring they are met.

·        Train personnel and helping team members develop their skills.

·        Protect Damstra’s value by keeping information confidential.

·        Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; and integrating contract requirements with business operations.
