Experian is seeking an accomplished analytics leader to head the Data Solutions team as part of the Decision Analytics organization in North America. The Data Solutions Team is responsible for using our extensive analytical expertise to craft the next generation of analytics products and services as well as producing relevant thought leadership material. In this position you will be a key contributor to high profile initiatives across the business directing the analytic requirements that support business decisions in areas such as alternative data, product development, thought leadership and proactive analytics.

• Understand the analytic needs of the financial services marketplace through interactions with clients, partners, and internal constituencies
• Assess the competitiveness of our analytic capabilities in addressing current and future clients’ needs
• Oversee multiple concurrent projects and provide quality assurance to ensure accuracy and operational feasibility of analytical solutions, from solution design through implementation
• Serve as analytical lead for high profile engagements and mission critical analytical projects and initiatives supporting business decisions
• Guide analysis design, provide input to project plans, and recommend alternatives to support business objectives
• Communicate with and deliver presentations to executive levels on analysis results
• Work with product management and innovation teams to support the development of new analytical and data products and services, and to improve current processes and offerings. Support the implementation of statistical models and other analytic products
• Evaluate new data sources identifying the most appropriate machine learning/deep learning/data mining/text mining techniques to uncover the value of the data
• Provide executive level sponsorship of model governance programs and other key initiatives
• Support field sales force and marketing organization by providing analytical expertise through proactive analytics and thought leadership to better articulate Experian capabilities
• Develop dashboards and reports, leveraging data visualization and other tools
• Empower team of Data Scientists, provide growth opportunities, ensure appropriate assignment of resources, manage individual contributors and managers

• Advanced degree preferably in a related quantitative field (Data Science, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Economics).
• 15+ years of relevant working experience in analytics field preferably in financial services
• 10+ years of experience leading analytic teams responsible for delivery, development, and deployment of analytic services 
• Able to direct Data Scientists with experience in data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python), and statistical/mathematical programming languages (e.g. R, SAS) with familiarity in using AWS, Hadoop, PySpark, Java, Scala, Spark, Git and data visualization tools such as Tableau
• Expertise in statistical analysis, applying various machine learning techniques, predictive modeling, and data mining to interpret data and solve business problems
• Proven ability to think creatively, solve problems, learn quickly, work independently, handle ambiguity, and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas and analysis results effectively both verbally and in writing to both a technical and non-technical audience
• Detail oriented individual that can work effectively in cross-functional teams
• Travel about 20%
• Ideal location is Costa Mesa, CA but open to remote locations for right person
