QA Automation Engineer

About the project

We're looking for a QA Automation Engineer with 3+ years experience in manual and automated testing, who also has a consultancy approach in terms of Testing Strategy, Release Plan or any other improvements needed in the context of Quality Assurance.

Your team

We are looking to create a new, autonomous team with the following structure: 1 Project Delivery Manager, 1 Product Owner, 2 Software Engineers in C++, 1 Full-stack Software Engineer on C++ and Qt, 1 Software Engineer in Test.

The autonomous team will work together with other teams from our client and other IT partners.

The way of working of the teams will be SAFe (with Product Incremental iterations of 8 weeks) and Jira will be used as a Task Management tool.

Your role 

We're looking for a Software Engineer in Test performing both automated and manual testing, who also has a consultancy approach in terms of Testing Strategy, Release Plan or any other improvements needed in the context of Quality Assurance.

 We would like you to understand the financial business segment and apply the right set of QA practices and methodologies.

Alongside your team members, you will be involved in co-creating the product from the ground up and you will ensure the high quality of the final product.

• Squish, Jenkins are required;
• You will have to start or adapt an existing Automated Testing solution;
• Agile mindset combined with a proactive attitude is essential;
• Collaboration with a Product Owner in order to understand the requirements;
• Collaborate with team members to clarify and understand the user flows as well as the ‘look and feel’ of the application;
• Understand the factors to consider when determining the level of test automation needed within the project;
• Prepare the necessary documentation and reports for the testing processes according to the project requirements and quality procedures;
• Provide realistic, achievable estimates of effort required to perform QA related tasks;
• Good communication skills in English, both speaking and writing
• Knowledge of German would be an advantage
• Project technology stack: C++ and QT, PostGreSQL, communication protocols: OAuth 2, HTTP, REST.
