Job Description

We are looking for an ambitious account manager for our Dairy XL team; someone who will relish the challenge of supporting – in a coaching role – our worldwide network of Lely Clusters and Lely Center organisations in the activities they deploy for our key accounts. The Dairy XL team is active on a global scale and, together with local account managers, we facilitate large-scale dairy businesses with over 500 cows in their automation projects, ranging from the first contact to the building of long-term relationships. Account managers are the coaches for the national organisations and, together with them, we empower the growth of our local partners, the Lely Center distribution partners. Working with the national organisations, you will plan campaigns and commercial objectives, coaching them in the realisation of these plans. Whenever necessary, you will provide assistance in the field, as well as being involved in the maintaining of relationships with dairy farmers at an international level, because you have the capability to bring people from different cultures together to achieve joint success.

Lely and its customers are active within the agri-business, which is a specific market. We are therefore looking for an account manager who already has an affinity with this industry and who understands the workings of this market. From the Dairy XL department, we maintain contact with multiple company teams at the Lely Campus and with all of our local Lely businesses, plus 40% of our Lely Center organisations. Between us, we serve just over 200 customers, and they milk 5% of the cows that are accounted for by our customer base. We foresee ongoing growth in this wider segment due to the consolidation of businesses and the evolution of the dairy farming industry in new markets.

Qualifications

Within this international role, you will be responsible for the connection between the team at the Lely Campus and the market. Together with local account managers, you will plan objectives and provide support in their implementation. You will ensure that the vision and proposition remain central to the proposals submitted to customers, and collaborating with the distribution channel, you will gradually build our share of this market segment. Within your role, you will be responsible for maintaining the Lely standards throughout the entire sales chain, while also ensuring a professional experience for the entire customer journey.

As the eyes and ears of Lely, you will keep close track of what is going on with our customers in various parts of the world. Our own Lely Academy provides the opportunity for a wide range of training, and you will invest in yourself so that you can keep pace with global trends and market changes.

 Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Working with the Clusters to make plans for the market segment
  • Providing support in the training of Lely Center teams
  • Assuring the correct processing of the sales administration in the CRM systems
  • Initiating new marketing ideas
  • Organising team sessions to coach and support Lely Center staff members
  • Developing and extending customer relationships from the Red Cow Community.
  • Following market trends and providing relevant feedback to management
  • Assuming responsibility, together with the local account managers, for the annual commercial cycle
  • Keeping our commercial information up-to-date and relevant using input from the field and from our other support teams
  • Liaising with team members and supporting them in their supplementary duties.
