Chief of Staff - Software Engineering

Mirantis is adding a Chief of Staff to our Product Engineering organization!  You will be an integral part of the product engineering organization.  Working directly for the Chief Technology Officer.  Working with product managers and engineering leaders you will lead a small and effective team to engineering excellence and execution efficiency.

Main Responsibilities:

• Be the operational catalyst by driving the team to make material progress on KPIs. You will unblock issues such as  technical product, finance, data quality, changing business objectives.

• Collaborate with product leaders, engineering leaders, and data analysts to develop insights, and track outcomes.

• Uncover inefficiencies, bringing new perspectives, and work towards operational excellence.

• Lead data analytics, and content development for both internal and external communication.

• Create narratives and reports on business objectives and key performance indicators.

• Direct content creation for all hands, investor, leadership, and board of directors meetings.

• Own, run, and ensure the success of all product engineering all hands, fireside chats, team workshops, and events.

• Help organize cross-functional projects that require key stakeholder buy in.

• Keep product leaders organized and accountable.

• Track hiring, budgets, and events.

• Tackle special initiatives from senior leadership.

• Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar discipline, MBA preferred

• 5+ years of experience in a software based technology company

• Highly motivated self-starter is a must

• Executive communication and presentation skills to include:

  • Public Announcements

  • Investor/Board Meetings

  • All-hands employee presentations

• Communications and design experience, along with solid analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills

• Passion for solving complex problems, and building scalable processes.

• Comfort working in a high growth, constantly changing environment.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
