Systems Engineer

Arista Networks is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to provide pre-sales technical systems engineering support and technical expertise to both Service Provider and Enterprise customers and partners .

Responsibilities:

• Provide pre-sales technical leadership and expert guidance to Arista Networks customers and partners

• Work in-depth and hands-on with the customer and POC teams to validate customer proof-of-concept setups, network designs, and network deployments using new products and features

• Put together design guidelines and recommend improvements to customers for the networks they support

• Provide direct feedback to product management and engineering, engage in the product development process

• Keep up-to-date on competitive solutions, products, and services

• Author whitepapers and articles on technology and products

• BSCS/CE technical degree required

• Expert knowledge in the following areas: Ethernet, RSTP/ MSTP, VLANs, IP Routing, TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, EVPN, Multicast, QoS, MPLS, VXLAN

• Expertise in at least one area of related technologies - storage, financial trading, Web2.0 applications, HPC or kubernetes

• Expert level knowledge of industry-standard CLI

• Knowledge of competitive products, solutions, and services

• Knowledge of scripting and programming languages: bash, python or go.

• Ability to write white papers a plus

• CCIE certification a plus
