THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE
The Environmental, Social and Governance - Portfolio Management - Senior Director role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:


In this compelling leadership position, you will be accountable for managing several projects and/or products to meet organizational goals. In this role, you will make decisions regarding resources, timing, scope, priorities, risks, and opportunities, as well as coordinate with other teams to ensure support of the portfolios.

  • Lead a team of housing professionals who are actively engaged in the attainment of Fannie Mae’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) targets with an emphasis on our multi-year Equitable Housing Finance Plan. Provides thought leadership, influences and engages with a range of internal and external partners (at all levels across the enterprise) that includes:  Single-family, Multi-family, Capital Markets, Legal, Credit Risk Teams, Fair lending for-profit and non-profit organizations, municipalities, lenders, investors, etc. to enable business execution.
  • Actively works with regulatory entities in the design, implementation, tracking and reporting of our regulatory directives.

Qualifications

THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Ensure the collection and reporting of project or operation data. Consult with senior management and others across the enterprise on defining the objectives of projects or products. Inform senior management of the performance of product or project teams. Refine goals, guidelines, objectives, and timelines for teams as needed.

 

Minimum Required Experiences 

  • 8 years  

Desired Experiences 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent Master’s degree preferred in: Housing, Finance, Real Estate
  • Minimum of 8 years of leadership experience working in real estate and / or affordable housing preferred


Skills:

Experience helping an organization to plan and manage change in effort to meet strategic objectives
Adept at managing project plans, resources, and people to ensure successful project completion
Executive communication skills including communicating in writing or verbally, copywriting, planning and distributing communication, etc.
Collective capabilities for leadership, including leading teams, giving feedback, facilitating cross-divisional meetings, and coaching and mentoring
Skilled in presenting information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand
Ability to frame ideas as systems and analyzing the inputs, outputs, and process
Experience gathering accurate information to explain concepts and answer critical questions
Governance and Compliance skills including creating policies and evaluating compliance, Performance Measurement skills including evaluating programs, and defining and measuring KPIs
Relationship Management skills including managing and engaging stakeholders, customers, and vendors, building relationship networks, contracting, etc.
Influencing skills including negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict
Sales, Marketing, and PR knowledge including marketing products, social media marketing, creating collateral, planning and developing content for speaking engagements, managing the media, Experience identifying and selecting strategic options, and identifying resources to meet the defined objectives
Working with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to work toward a common goal
Operational Excellence skills including improving and overseeing operations
Skilled in Excel
Experience using SharePoint
Skilled in Microsoft Teams
