Job Description

As a Human Resources Generalist, you will be responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. This position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and staff that reflects the business objectives of the organization. You will carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas: talent acquisition; employee relations consultation; policy interpretation and application; performance; compensation management consultation; and talent management consultation.

You Will:

  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues and conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations
  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risk, and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Support annual HR cycle deliverables to include performance management; merit and bonus awards; benefits enrollment; etc.
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR team to develop solutions, programs, and policies
  • Partner with Payroll; HRIS; and Compensation and Benefits as needed
  • Actively participate in annual budget planning and labor forecasting processes
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance such as coaching; counseling; career development; policy interpretations and application; talent management and development; and organizational design consultation
  • Develop terms for new hires, promotions, and transfers and co-facilitate New Employee Orientation (NEO) programs
  • Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning
  • Identify training needs for business units and individual coaching needs
  • Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure that training objectives are met

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience with labor laws, HR legislative requirements, and legal compliance
  • Knowledge of global HR practices and legal restrictions in a variety of countries
  • Solid experience with recruiting and hiring, performance management, and employee relations
  • Experience with program development, organizational development, and health and safety programs
  • Prior work experience in an HR-related field or HR management role
  • A degree in HR or HR professional designation is preferred but not required
