Principal Product Manager - Collaboration

Procore is looking for a Principal Product Manager, Collaboration, to join our Collaboration team. In this role, you’ll be working to develop products that shape the future of collaboration in the construction industry. You will work on messaging, task management, and notifications solutions to build a collaboration platform that helps construction professionals work together to get jobs done more seamlessly. The construction vertical is ripe for technological innovation in this space, and as the leading market solution, Procore has a unique opportunity to create an industry-defining solution.

As a Principal Product Manager, Collaboration, you’ll partner with our UX Design, Engineering, and Revenue teams to define the product strategy and features for collaboration tools, develop and launch those features, and evangelize the value internally at Procore and with customers. In this role, you will spend time meeting with customers to synthesize customer and market needs and translate those needs into a vision and plan that delivers customer value and business impact. This is a new, platform level, team building new capabilities from the ground up. You should be excited about taking products from zero to one and translating ambiguity into reality. This position reports into the Director of Product, Collaboration and can be remote or based in one of our offices in Carpinteria, CA, New York, or Austin. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.

What you’ll do:

• Help define and shape the vision for collaboration in construction

• Own the roadmap, and develop solutions for a new messaging, tasks and/or  notification system in Procore

• Become well-versed in the construction industry and its diverse challenges to guide and communicate the value you’re creating for customers

• Balance customer empathy with horizontal solution thinking by identifying platform approaches that solve multiple problems at once, creating strategic leverage for Procore

• Drive collaboration across Product, Engineering, and Revenue teams to deliver seamless onboarding flows

• Effectively use qualitative and quantitative data analysis to help inform the decision-making process

• Think beyond software for the whole solution by collaborating closely with customers and go-to-market teams

What we’re looking for:

• B.A. or B.S. plus MBA preferred

• 8+ years of experience building and delivering successful B2B and/or SaaS products at companies of scale

• 2+ years of experience working with products related to messaging, tasks, or notifications preferred

• Experience working with engineering and design to deliver both platform services and end-user experiences

• Passion for customer success and seeking a deep understanding of end-user problems as well as competitive and market trends in the construction and collaboration space

• Strong product management skills defining user stories, structured requirements and specifications, and managing success metrics

• Ability to work collaboratively across the organization with other product teams and stakeholders to collect feedback and influence
