In two weeks of creating that group chat, over 300 professionals joined the community expressing how they were the only professional of color in their company, were continually looked over for promotions, were having trouble navigating corporate America, and more.

career coaches, resources, and professional events. We partner with organizations to recruit & retain diverse talent and provide programming to propel talent forward.
Mimconnect helps BIPOC professionals across the USA, Toronto, and London navigate their careers while helping companies recruit, retain, and develop diverse talent. We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist who can support us in ensuring recruitment success with our company partners.
Talent Acquisition Specialists play a unique role. They are responsible for sourcing and pre-vetting candidates for open positions within our partner companies and work closely with our clients to ensure they’re providing career opportunities for POC across all levels. Previous experience in corporate recruitment and/or agency environment role is preferred.
Strong communications skills and a passion for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is a must. Global recruiting experience is a plus.
This position is a remote, contract position.
Creates and maintains candidate pools of qualified candidates through frequent contact and notifications of positions
Handles sourcing and pre-vetting of candidates
Handles client communications and acts as a liaison between hiring managers and candidates
Conducts initial phone screenings for applicants
Collaborates with hiring managers throughout the recruitment process, provides guidance, and acts as a subject matter expert
Manages and maintains candidate success tracking
Creates comprehensive recruitment strategies including advertising, outreach, and tracking in collaboration with the Communications + Business Development team
Identify and develop partnership opportunities that increase our audience of senior-level professionals.
3+ years of experience in a talent acquisition/recruitment position in a corporate in-house and/or agency setting
Passionate about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Experience with tech and/or market research recruitment
Highly organized and able to work independently
Strong communication skills and ability to manage client relationships
Possesses a collaborative and adaptable approach to recruiting
