Job Description

A bit of background…

Reporting to the Deputy Group Treasurer the Treasury Analyst will execute the daily treasury dealing, manage daily liquidity and exposure positions, maintain a rolling monthly cashflow forecast and coordinate the bi-monthly intragroup settlement process via the in-house bank.

Group Treasury is responsible for funding the group by means of bank debt, commercial paper and bonds and ensuring that cash is available to the group where and when needed.  Risk management activities include foreign exchange, interest rate and related external counterparty risk management. The team is based in Dublin consisting of 7 treasury professionals managing the daily front and back office processes as well as accounting, reporting and systems maintenance.

In this role you will gain an overall perspective from the treasury operations in the group, as well as interaction with senior Executives in the Experian Finance organisation.

What you’ll be doing…

Front Office

  • Analysing the daily cash pool positions across all currencies (USD, GBP, EUR, AUD, DKK, NOK) and establish the cash requirements of the group. Maintain a rolling monthly cashflow forecast to project funding requirements.
  • Managing the funding requirements using the Commercial Paper program and committed bank facilities
  • Investing excess cash (when required, for short term intervals)
  • Reviewing the foreign currency exposure report to identify and consolidate unhedged positions and perform all transactions to clear foreign exchange exposures
  • Execute daily dealing for FX and funding
  • Distributing daily market data summary to Experian Executives
  • Analysing market rate and currency movements and their potential impact for the Group
  • Managing all In-house bank account (IGA) transactions between subsidiaries
  • Liaising with regional Shared Service Centres for their cash requirements and act as focal point for their queries

Reporting

  •  Review (counterparty, exposure and IGA) limit reports. Resolve any issues by taking all action necessary, proposing limit changes and clearing exposures.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the monthly Tax & Treasury Committee Report

Other

  • Upload daily FX rates into Quantum
  • Work with banks to issue bank guarantees required and maintain a guarantee register

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Educated at least to degree level
  • Treasury qualification and/or relevant experience preferred

Experience:

  • Understanding of Corporate Cash Management and Treasury Dealing/Settlement
  • Financially/numerically literate
  • Quality focused with attention to detail
  • Able to organise, self-directed  and self-disciplined
  • Tenacious, to complete tasks within time critical deadlines
  • Critical thinker and evaluator
  • Good communication skills
  • Team player willing to work flexibly in a small department
  • Outstanding moral character

Tech capability:

  • Highly IT literate – able to use many systems, in particular MS Excel
  • Bloomberg experience preferred
