Job Description

This is a full-time, professional exempt position. An Onboarding Training Manager in this position will be responsible to oversee the continued development and growth of the onboarding and mentoring training programs.  This includes the virtual/classroom instruction for new associates.  This role will work closely with the eLearning Sr. Training manager to assist with the development of web-based internal training modules.   Responsibility will also include developing and facilitating professional development/Project Management courses and internal associate training.  This role requires creative collaboration with our Human Resources, Sales, Marketing, Data Engineering, Product, Implementation teams as well as managing external client needs.  Additionally, this position will also be responsible for managing the creation and maintenance of Application and Product Training materials.    

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • 3-5 years of classroom and online training experience, preferably with new hires and clients. 

  • Develop training materials/programs for new associates and clients that includes clinical, HR, ERP, revenue cycle, HIM, etc. 

  • Work with project managers and other departments to develop onboarding training plan. 

  • Collaborate with the eLearning Training Manager to and gather stakeholder input to build the roadmap for digital learning priorities. 

  • Assist with the development of associate and client online training portal. 

  • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence. 

  • Understand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs. 

  • Set and manage appropriate expectations both internally and externally. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, instructional design/technology, clinical informatics or related field.   

  • Experience in Captivate and/or Camtasia, but not required.  

  • Deliver/facilitate client training programs and courses. 

  • Knowledge and experience in electronic health electronic system(s). 

  • Proven knowledge of instructional design, development and delivery methodologies.  

  • Previous experience with onboarding new associates. 

  • Facilitation of classroom and online training. 

  • Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands. 

  • Flexible with proven ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities. 

  • Ability to exercise effective decision-making in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Knowledge of or experience in LMS management preferred, but not required. 

  • Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time. 

Education/Training/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, instructional design/technology or appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience 

  • 3+ years of virtual/classroom training experience, including designing, creating and implementing training programs 

  • 2+ years of EHR systems experience preferred 

  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint.
