We're searching for a Culture Content Producer to create content that elevates the employee experience through both digital and IRL events on our Core Products team (team of ~1500 product, development, design, data, marketing & ops folks, focused on Shopify's "out-of-the-box" merchant experience). As an internal storyteller, you will focus on the production and distribution of content to help our Operations team drive engagement and community within the Core org.
If you’re highly creative, a video editing master, and love to create content in a digital setting, keep reading. Shopify moves at an extremely fast pace and you’ll be responsible for maintaining, organizing and juggling priorities in an often chaotic environment. Building trust throughout the organization will allow you to be most impactful!
Responsibilities:
Own the creative, logistical and broadcasting components for Core-wide digital events & rituals: Town Hall, AMA, social/fun events, demo days, Digital by Design rituals etc.
Drive engagement through digital channels at the Core-wide level
Work alongside Shopify’s broadcast and culture teams to identify appropriate tooling and branding
Track priorities and ensure follow through on key items to help Get Shit Done
Organize communications, manage internal communications when needed
Proactively integrate into the business to gain a deeper understanding of Core product at Shopify
We’re looking for someone who:
Will thrive in a Digital by Design environment is comfortable with new technologies
Is excited about helping to drive culture and engagement including owning Core Town Hall (virtual) and events (IRL).
Thinks outside the box and not afraid to try new things
Can shoot and edit videos for both virtual and IRL events
Has communication skills and is comfortable partnering with various stakeholders
Is detail-obsessed, organized, and passionate about engagement and culture
Can be agile, resourceful, and willing to continuously challenge themselves learn, and grow
Is comfortable with ambiguity and working in an ever-changing environment
Can juggle multiple, competing priorities
It would also be great if you had:
Graphic Design experience
Previous experience driving culture and engagement in a digital environment
Event planning from conception to execution
