The opportunity 

With our commercial efforts being carried out through the Web, we can service customers around the globe. Over the years, our user base has steadily grown, and we are now looking to develop a customized system dedicated to inventory management, automated product listing, order management and shipping processing. To better leverage our innovative business model, we also want to develop new trade-in platforms (B2B & B2C) and transactional websites. Who better to support us as our company grows than a backend developer? 

This position reports to the Product Manager and the candidate will collaborate with all members of the IT department. As this role was newly created, we are looking for an individual with strong priority management skills and demonstrated ability to advise and to share knowledge within a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities 

• Define, build, and code intricate web-based applications. 
• Recommend innovative solutions. 
• Draft a professional source code that complies with industry standards. 
• Develop platforms using the latest technology. 
• Help build the IT strategy. 

Your profile

A web development expert capable of prioritizing projects and recommending innovative ideas to support them. 

  With: 

• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and/or 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a rapid growth environment.  
• Proficiency in both English and French. 
• 2-3 years of experience working with PHP and Laravel. 
• Basic knowledge of MySQL databases. 
• A curious mind and an interest in keeping up to date with current events in technology. 
• Responsive skills and ability to handle last minute issues such as bugs. 
• Experience with HTML, CMS, JavaScript (jQuery, Ajax) and CSS. 
• Initiative and ability to exhibit autonomy. 
• Experience with Magento, a plus. 
• Experience managing high-volume and online retail platforms, a plus.
