Head of DevOps

We want to hire an experienced Head of DevOps who is able to help us achieve our growth ambitions within our ecommerce part of the business. The successful candidate is likely to be a Technical Architect with a significant track record of success in a high growth eCommerce or a digital media business with a strong technical understanding and excellent communication skills..

• Work with their team to roll out new features and products
• Hiring and training technical personnel
• Delegating work and assignments to team members
• Collaborating with their team to identify and fix technical problems
• Analyzing users' needs and then finding applications to serve them
• Creating end goals for their team
• Code reviews and supervising technical plans
• Responsible for the quality and security of code produced
• Guiding their team through technical issues and challenges
• Collaborate with the Product Manager, Delivery Manager and QA to drive delivery

• You have a proven track record in delivery technology within an enterprise environment
• You will be able to manage staff in a firm but fair way, coaching and mentoring more junior
• members of the team.
• You've got excellent verbal and written communication skills and can influence as well as lead
• You have an excellent attention to detail as well as the ability to see the bigger picture
• Proven ability to ‘roll sleeves up’ and take a hands-on approach to delivering

Requirements:

• Supervise and be engaged in the implementation of CI/CD pipelines for multiple systems
• across the platform
• You will be engaged in the day to day operations of the platform, managing the quality for the
• technical DevOps work delivered.
• Be engaged in automated infrastructure provisioning and post provisioning automation.
• In depth knowledge of the software development life cycle within a Scrum / Agile environment
• Excellent knowledge of AWS services and design
• Experience using and managing ElasticSearch, PHP, Java environments
