Job Description

Turner & Townsend are seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Cost Manager or Estimator to work with our San Francisco Bay area team on providing cost control, preparing cost estimates and bid documents for our key technology client's large-scale data center program. To be successful in this role you must have great communication skills and be comfortable operating in a client-facing role.



  • Good technical experience in all cost management areas; pre-contract, post contract and final account.
  • Demonstrate solid presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCad Navisworks, and/or other related computer software.
  • Good organization skills, ability to multi-task, and be a team player.
  • Good knowledge of all methods of construction procurement.
  • Experience with advising clients on value management, value engineering, and life cycle costing.
  • Experience with key aspects of business development.
  • Good knowledge and experience gained within several industry sectors.



  • A minimum of 5 years experience in an electrical focused construction estimating or cost management role.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Certified Engineering Technologist, or Electrical Certificate of Qualification preferred.
  • A combination of training, education and relevant work experience could be considered equivalent.
  • Excellent communicator and thrives in a client facing role.
  • Experience supporting cost management for medium or large scale construction projects.
  • Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as value management and value engineering.
  • US experience is strongly desirable.
  • Data Center experience also strongly desirable.
